Su Xiao prepared to rendezvous with Esdeath; staying on the sidelines for too long would arouse suspicion.
But after taking a few steps, a red signal flare exploded in the sky.
"Retreat signal?"
Su Xiao was puzzled; the Night Raid Team was about to be defeated, so why the retreat? The signal flare was carried by Esdeath personally.
"Could it be..."
Su Xiao thought of a possibility. If that was the case, he indeed needed to retreat quickly.
He moved swiftly through the forest, retreating in the direction agreed upon in advance.
As he burst out of the forest, he saw Esdeath and Will already outside.
"Where's Black Pupil?"

"Not sure, I encountered a strong enemy. The enemy's Imperial tool could use three types of elemental forces, just dealt with them not long ago."
Esdeath nodded; she had also seen the giant water ball in the forest earlier.
