Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 The Summoning Gambit (1)

The next day before the sun rises on the horizon, Naruto is already awake and finishes cleaning himself. He also started to pack up the necessary things he needs for today.

He did this quietly to avoid disturbing Minato, Kushina, and his siblings since they were surely going to disturb him, which was something he didn't want.

Naruto leaves through his window since he deduces there is a high chance that someone will see him leaving via the door. If that situation happens, it's going to be a headache for Naruto to explain, especially if Kushina is the one who might see it.

As Naruto silently traverses the villages until he enters the forest, which is still dark, to say the least. The moment he arrived at his destination, Naruto immediately placed down the bag he was carrying near the tree while quickly eating the apples he managed to bring with him.

Due to how early it was, Naruto didn't manage to cook breakfast for himself to avoid disturbing the sleep of Minato and Kushina. Interacting with those two is something Naruto didn't enjoy.

Naruto did his usual exercise, starting with warm-up exercises and the creation of Shadow Clones to perform the martial arts styles he knew.

Naruto did this for several hours and only stopped when his stomach complained about the fact that Naruto hadn't eaten yet. The apples aren't enough to satisfy him, especially with the intense training he currently does.

Even though he stopped his training with his martial arts, it doesn't mean that Naruto is going to go back home to cook breakfast or visit a restaurant to order food.

Naruto had different plans before he could even think of eating his breakfast.

Naruto really wanted to use a specific technique due to its nature, which caught Naruto's interest the moment he read its description.

The technique is the Summoning Technique, a technique that allows the users to summon a summoning animal to help the user fight against a difficult foe.

Not only do the summoning animals help the users fight difficult opponents, but they can also help the users perform an incredible combo to deliver devastating damage to the enemy.

The famous summoners in the ninja world would be the Legendary Sannin of the Village Hidden in the Leaf.

While they didn't get their titles due to their summons, it was still one of the reasons why they received their title from Hanzo the Salamander.

The only requirement of this technique is that the users had already formed a contract with the summoning animals before they could even think of summoning someone to help them.

In order to get contracted with summoning animals, one had to perform the Summoning Technique first, which results in the users teleporting to the home dimension of the summoning animals.

But there are dangers for this since no one can guarantee that the summoned animals wouldn't attack the users the moment they appeared or that the summoned animals would even think of forming a contract with the users.

That's why most ninja didn't use the Summoning Technique if they didn't have a contract formed and were even afraid to use it to find a suitable summoning animal to form a contract.

The risks are just that great.

Of course there are ways to minimize the dangers, and one of them was to ask someone who already has a contract with a summoning animal to be able to form a contract with that said summoning animal.

Of course there's a downside to this approach since ninjas are secretive by nature, so they wouldn't really help others or teach them their own techniques if they don't have a close relationship.

Naruto knows that Minato had a summoning contract with the toads and, without a shadow of a doubt, let Mito, Menma, and Yayoi form a contract with the toads.

Naruto, though, didn't want to form a contract with the toads, not because of the toads' connection with his family but because the toads probably wouldn't even be the perfect summoning animals for him.

Naruto views those ninja who rely on their close connection to other ninja with summoning contracts to get contracts with summoning animals to be failures and weaklings.

Naruto long since realized that to have strength, one must be willing to bet everything they have to acquire it.

If anyone knows what Naruto is planning to do, they will immediately call him an idiot and arrogant brat while stopping him. This is especially true for Kushina and Minato.

Too bad for the two parents; they wouldn't know this incident happened.

Naruto didn't even hesitate and waved the necessary hand sign to perform the Summoning Technique. Naruto also didn't bother thinking of the chakra needed with the Summoning Technique with his large pool of chakra.

Naruto bites his thumb while infusing a fair amount of chakra before he slams his hand into the ground.

"Summoning Technique," Naruto whispers.

A poof of smoke engulfs Naruto, and the moment the smoke disappears, Naruto vanishes in the forest, leaving his clones, who still continue training in the martial arts style.

Naruto found himself in a strange place. It was a forest, but the trees were far larger compared to the trees of the Village Hidden in the Leaf.

What really attracted Naruto's attention was the fact that this place didn't have the unknown energy he saw in the strange and grotesque creatures he previously saw and within humans.

This confirms his theory that this unknown energy is unique to humans, and even the summoning animals didn't have it.

Still, the mysteries behind this unknown energy are really something he has to uncover, and Naruto believes he is going to have a lot of fun doing it.

While marveling at the surrounding area and its natural beauty, Naruto spotted a lion a meter or 2 away from him, and this lion was staring at Naruto with its eyes full of malice.

Naruto didn't feel uncomfortable with the eyes full of malice directly towards him since it wasn't the first time he felt it. He already grew numb about it and only found the lion, which had the same size as an adult horse.

Just as the lion is about to make a move, suddenly it turns its head towards a specific direction.

A tiger with the same size as the lion also appeared while staring at Naruto with interest in its eyes before the tiger's eyes turned to the lion and its eyes glinted with malice.

Throughout the entire time, Naruto didn't move or do anything for that matter but watch the interaction between the two animals with great interest.

He found his current situation to be quite interesting.

'Too bad I don't have popcorn on me,' Naruto thought as the tiger and lion slowly closed their distance between them.

Just as the tiger and lion were about to fight each other, they noticed the smirk on Naruto's face, and while they couldn't see his eyes due to the dark sunglasses, they could imagine that Naruto saw them as a joke.

This immediately pissed off the two apex beasts, and they dashed towards Naruto, who still had his smirk plastered on his face.

'Deciding to attack me, huh? Naruto thought before he suddenly vanished from his position.

The tiger's and lion's eyes widen like a plate, and before they could even begin to search for Naruto's whereabouts, they suddenly felt someone grab their tails.

Naruto did grab their tails and use them like a rope to throw them towards the trees with so much force that the trees began to fall downwards, creating a commotion that was incredibly hard to ignore.

Naruto didn't continue his assault not because he felt mercy or he wanted the summoning contract, since, like stated earlier, he just uses the summoning contract out of curiosity.

Whether he had a contract or not doesn't really matter in Naruto's opinion.

The only reason why he didn't continue his assault is because he didn't want the fight to end just yet.

The summoning animals haven't made a proper move yet, so ending the fight wouldn't affect him, but he still felt the fun would be ruined.

The lion and tigers slowly stand up on their four legs, and their eyes didn't hide the shock they felt inwardly. They couldn't believe a child managed to throw them with such force behind it.

They even questioned if they were under an illusion or if this was a dream, and nothing else, but the pain they felt in their body made them realize that it was reality; it wasn't an illusion.

ROAR!

Both the lion and tiger immediately try to call some backup, as the two intend to kill Naruto once and for all. They know that they can't really work together perfectly when facing the human child in front of them; that's why they had to call their friends to fight against the enemy in front of them.

Naruto noticed the killing intent in the two beasts' eyes, and his smile widened a bit. For the first time in Naruto's life, he felt an excitement within him, and this excitement was burning brightly.
