"Sister."
Voraxus growled as he read the words on the parchment.
He turned his gaze toward Venia and spoke with barely suppressed rage, "Have you gone mad?"
Venia ignored him and kept writing. She was just about to conclude the story when suddenly Voraxus slammed his hand on the table.
"Sister!" he roared.
Venia finally looked toward her brother and calmly said, "Behave yourself, little brother."
Right at that moment, the Pen in her hand trembled. It was almost about to slip free from her grasp.
Venia's expression turned grave. She couldn't allow the Pen to escape. The last time it had slipped from her grasp, it had begun writing a story that ran counter to her plans.
So she quickly focused on sealing the Pen once again.
Taking advantage of her distraction, Voraxus snatched the stack of parchments from the table. He looked at her with anger and disappointment before walking to the other end of the chamber and sitting down.
