The convoy from afar to the east shared with the tribe many of their techniques and tools, how to raise livestock, how to build, how to cook, even history and poetry. The Chi Clan's farming was quite crude, and the craftsmen brought by Zhou were surrounded by many people asking questions in the fields.
The Chi Clan also shared their superior metallurgy with the Zhou convoy. In most of Zhou's lands, bronze was still the most common metal. The Chi Clan filled in many places with iron mines on their maps and shared more general methods for raising the temperature of flames.
