The night was dark, the moon high, the wind cold. It was the perfect night for murder and arson.
In the silent darkness, moonlight spilled like water, draping the earth in a thin, gauzy veil. The misty glow had texture, like the skirt of some noble young lady, caressing half the world.
And it would have been such a waste to ruin such a lovely atmosphere by not doing something bad.
One tall figure and one small figure moved through the darkness, whispering to each other and communicating in hushed tones.
"What do you think? Did you get everything ready? That's Yukio-kun we're talking about. It's so late now, he must already be asleep. We just have to stay perfectly hidden, strike, and then we'll never have to worry about life again."
"Don't worry, Sensei. I checked everything. No problem~"
From the sound of their voices, the two figures plotting mischief—one big, one small—were actually a student and teacher.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" After their brief exchange, they charged toward Yukio's bedroom.
They moved without a sound, as if they had undergone some kind of special training. Astonishingly, they did not bump into a single piece of furniture or decoration in Room 22, nor did they make any unusual noise. Just like that, they reached Yukio's bedroom door.
Seeing the door, the big thief looked at the little thief. The little thief gave a knowing smile, took out a thin piece of iron wire, and inserted it into the lock. Clearly, she was trying to slide it around and pick the lock. "Hehe, Sensei, watch carefully."
"The bedroom door must be easy to pick. It's not some electronic password lock on the main entrance."
The big thief confidently handed the job to the little thief. Watching the little thief fiddle with the lock, she was secretly nervous too, afraid that she would not be able to hold back her laughter. Fortunately, no one would be passing through the hallway at this hour.
But after the little thief worked at the lock for quite a while, the lock never made a sound, and there was no result whatsoever. She could not open it at all.
The big thief began to panic. "What's wrong? Can't do it?"
"I can't." The little thief grew troubled too. "I'm really good at locks like this. Why, why can't I find the mechanism? If I want to unlock it, the mechanism should…"
As she said this, the little thief fell silent.
The big thief also realized something, and her shoulders trembled as she desperately held back laughter, as if she were working very hard to endure it.
Then the little thief silently put away the wire. The big thief gently tugged the door handle, and the bedroom door opened directly. There had never been a lock on it in the first place!
At this moment, the little thief badly wanted to slap herself. She even began to complain indignantly in a low voice, "This Yukio-kun! How can he be so careless? He doesn't even lock his bedroom door?"
"Stop wasting time. Hurry up and get in." The big thief could not hide her teasing smile. Following the faint moonlight, she was barely able to make out the furnishings inside the bedroom and walked straight toward the bed.
The little thief gently closed the door, then followed the big thief's soundless footsteps. In a haze, she felt her way to the sleeping Yukio, and the two of them looked at him, then exchanged a glance. Both of them burst into a muffled laugh, trembling with excitement. "We got him! This is so easy!"
"Hahaha, as expected of us! Hey!" The two thieves high-fived with a soft clap, even raising their fists in celebration, like their lives were complete now.
Yukio, however, could not sleep through it. "Are you two done messing around in my room in the middle of the night?" After saying that, he directly reached out and turned on the bedside lamp.
The gentle, pale-yellow light illuminated the small half of the bedroom, letting him clearly see how the two thieves were dressed.
The big thief was serious about this. Her outfit was not too different from Cat Burglar's: a skintight one-piece of deep-blue silk, with a matching strip of blue silk tied at the waist, showing off her defined curves and carrying a certain mysterious, midnight-beauty allure.
The little thief, on the other hand, was truly not human. She wore an entire cosplay-style little demon outfit: a black shirt paired with a short black skirt, crooked little goat horns on her head, a pair of tiny bat wings tied behind her, and finally a little tail. Looking closely in the middle of the night, she really did not look like a person at all.
The thief heroine—or rather, Hoshinomiya—casually undid the blue silk tied around her body, exposing herself like that before Yukio's eyes. "You really were asleep. How did you figure out we were here to night-raid you, Yukio-kun?"
"Exactly!" The little demon Amasawa beside her had also come dressed as a teacher. She was even bolder than the blue-clad Hoshinomiya, leaping directly onto Yukio and pinning him down. "You have to use reasoning for stuff like this! What detail gave us away?"
Yukio looked through the silk with nothing to say, glancing at Amasawa's satisfied little face, then at the smiling, full-of-laughter Hoshinomiya beside her. He could only sigh lightly.
If one were to talk about girls acting cute, the best at it would have to be the little demon Amasawa. But if one were to talk about being the most seductive, it was still Hoshinomiya.
Once Hoshinomiya and Amasawa joined forces, it was not as simple as one plus one. When the two of them got together, it was as if some strange chemical reaction occurred, making one's heart race and imagination run wild, impossible to resist.
Thinking back to what the two of them had looked like the last time they got together, even Yukio almost could not hold back. He unconsciously coughed and woke up. "Fine, you two heroines…"
"What heroines? That doesn't sound nice at all." Hoshinomiya sat lightly beside Yukio and took hold of the back of his hand. "Can't you call us female bandits?"
"Up to you, up to you. You two female bandits…"
After saying that and realizing this title was interesting, Amasawa learned from it too. "Wrong, wrong. Teacher Hoshinomiya being a female bandit is fine, but I'll be playing—I mean, tonight I'm a little demon!"
"Isn't Class 257 full of people who call themselves Hoshinomiya-sensei? The things they're learning are so authentic."
"..." Yukio's face twitched slightly. He narrowed his eyes at the sight of Hoshinomiya's collarbone faintly revealed by the loose shoulder opening, then looked at Amasawa sitting on top of him. He felt a slight pain in his jaw, and his throat bobbed before he deliberately looked away. "Ahem."
"This female bandit and this little demon have something to say, so as long as it doesn't harm my reputation, you can take whatever you want, all right?"
"!" Hoshinomiya's eyes lit up. "That's what you said! You, you've gone and said that. A man, a real man, can't go back on his word!"
Amasawa also raised her voice in excitement, nodding vigorously along with Hoshinomiya.
Yukio was a little suspicious now. There was even a hint of anticipation in his eyes. "I definitely said it. So what exactly are you two after?"
"Haha~" Hoshinomiya seemed a little embarrassed at this point. She turned her head away and avoided meeting Yukio's gaze. Even so, she still moved closer to him. "They all say Yukio-kun has a waist worth ten thousand strings of cash."
"We master and disciple came over tonight because we wanted to take a little gold from Yukio-kun."
"What kind of imagery is that? What is this 'waist worth ten thousand strings' supposed to be for?" Yukio understood now. This was the true reason the two female thieves had come for a deep-night raid.
