As Kazuki unleashed his Ultimate Technique: Inferno God, a massive, unstable surge of purple lightning and flames erupted from his body. The energy swirled violently, overflowing and distorting the air itself, as Magnus and Elisa desperately attempted to flee.
The power Kazuki was gathering began to take shape.
Lightning and fire forming the silhouette of a colossal mindless being.
Kazuki stared forward, his expression filled with nothing but anger and frustration.
"I will burn and incinerate everything that poses a threat to me… and to the people I hold dear, no matter how strong you are." he said coldly.
"Now go—Inferno God!", he commanded with a roar.
The blazing entity roared as it launched itself forward, incinerating everything in its path. In an instant, it caught up to Magnus and Elisa "WHAT THE FUCK?", Elisa exclaimed before she and Magnus got consumed by Kazuki's Inferno god. With a deafening roar "AAAAAH!", it detonated upon them, releasing a massive nuclear explosion that reduced everything to ash.
Magnus and Elisa were erased completely.
Far away, Lady Rimeta hovered at a safe distance, watching the devastation unfold. She began to cackle softly.
"As expected from him," she muttered. "Who could have imagined a boy possessing such monstrous strength?"
Her eyes gleamed as she continued.
"His father was one of the Prodigy Children—strong enough to destroy nations. His elder brother was ranked as the strongest Dark Sign member, the most dangerous criminal group in the world. And his teachers… Diablo, who can erase existence and concepts themselves, and Veronica, the strongest woman alive. Not to mention who his mother was."
She smiled.
"What kind of monster have they created out of this boy?"
As the smoke from the nuclear explosion slowly cleared, Kazuki walked through the devastation, staring at the ruined landscape around him.
He scratched his head awkwardly.
"Oh man… I really should've been more careful about my surroundings," he muttered. "The city was already destroyed by the others, and now I made it even worse."
He sighed.
"After all this, I'll ask Diablo to teach me how to fight without causing so much damage. Alex will probably need that too."
He turned away.
"Well, time to leave—"
A beam of light suddenly shot down from the sky and pierced straight through Kazuki's chest.
"AGH! WHAT THE FUCK? WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!", Kazuki questioned himself in shock, his eyes shaky.
Kazuki collapsed to the ground, screaming in pain as blood poured from the wound "GAAAH! NHG!". He clutched his chest, gasping.
"What the actual fuck! Where did that attack fall from?" he thought. "I'm sure I killed them! Did Inferno God miss somehow?!"
Lady Rimeta descended slowly from the sky, her expression calm.
"You really are impressive, Kazuki," she said. "You defeated two of the strongest B-rank soldiers in this city. You also killed a Dark Sign member and played a crucial role in the battle against one of the top lightning soldiers."
She smiled faintly.
"You are nothing to sneeze at."
Kazuki tried standing then dropped to his knees, blood still pouring from his chest.
"My chest… it hurts like hell," he thought. "Unlike Alex, my regeneration is slow. I can heal limbs, but internal damage is a nightmare. This is bad… really bad."
Lady Rimeta raised her hand and floated higher into the sky.
"I suppose it's time to end this," she declared. "I shall lay waste to you."
An overwhelming surge of energy burst from her body and shot into the sky. Massive spears of pure energy formed above her—countless in number.
They filled the sky with tramendous numbers.
So many that they seemed to cover the surface of the Earth itself.
Kazuki stared in disbelief.
"What kind of power is this…?" he thought. "She's… S-rank?! Covering the entire planet surface with attacks?! I thought only Veronica was at that level!"
His heart sank.
"This woman… she's insane."
Lady Rimeta smiled down at him.
"I see you've realized the gap between us," she said. "Not even Kojin or the other lords of the Three Great Nations can stop me."
She pointed downward.
The energy spears rained down.
Kazuki jolted and instantly activated his force field, blocking the barrage as the spears struck relentlessly. The sheer force pushed him backward across the ground.
Blood trickled from his nose.
"I'm running out of energy…" he thought desperately.
His force field flickered violently.
"Her attacks are light-speed… but if they don't exceed it, I can still—"
"I have over ten million of these left!" Lady Rimeta laughed. "I wonder how long your force field will last?"
Her smile widened.
"And as for that barrier of yours… I know exactly how it works. Since my attacks must surpass light speed to bypass it—then that's what I'll do."
She formed a single, massive spear and hurled it.
The spear pierced straight through Kazuki's force field and slammed into his chest. A massive explosion of energy burned through the place
"AAAGH!!", Kazuki screamed in pain.
Lady Rimeta didn't stop.
Spears continued to rain down without pause, tearing into Kazuki's body. Rimeta was laughing mockingly at Kazuki as her attacks tore through him. He coughed up blood, his body spewed with blood as everything slowed around him.
"Is this… where I die?" he thought weakly.
"I wanted this city to pay… for what it did to my father and brother. I wanted to be the strongest, i wanted myself and Alex to continue competing with each other....".
His vision blurred.
"In the end… I guess I couldn't reach it."
A faint smile crossed his face.
"Sorry, Alex… looks like it's up to you now."
Kazuki suddenly found himself standing in a white void.
He looked around.
Then he heard a familiar voice.
"You're not planning on giving up… are you, Kazuki?"
