From the way she said it, I couldn't help feeling that she was referring to more than just our political relationship. There was probably a romantic implication behind her words as well.
Was I supposed to be worried about where all of this would lead?
Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure how I was supposed to feel about it. Our relationship was still relatively new, and there were plenty of things I had yet to learn about her and her people. However, I knew that whatever direction things took from here, I was looking forward to seeing where they would lead.
Besides, I wasn't exactly opposed to the idea of becoming closer to Serune. If anything, I was rather interested in seeing how things would develop between us.
