"You're completely treating me like a chauffeur." When he spoke again, the hoarseness in his voice was gone, reverting back to his usual nonchalant tone.
"Are you coming?" Fan Rou asked as if she hadn't heard his complaints.
"Yes." Qin An said through gritted teeth.
"Okay, I'll wait for you at the street corner across from my boyfriend's neighborhood."
"What do you think your boyfriend would do if he saw you getting into my car?" Or what would happen if he knew about their past relationship?
Of course, Qin An didn't say the latter out loud.
Fan Rou could be quite fierce; if he said that, she'd probably go crazy.
"He won't see." Fan Rou stated with certainty.
"Alright, wait for me a bit, I'll be there within half an hour." Qin An said.
In September, it was still very hot. Fan Rou sat on the bench at the bus stop, fanning herself while waiting for Qin An.
Eventually, she got so impatient that she went to the mall behind her and bought an ice cream cone.
