But things weren't as relaxed for Pei Ziyu as they were for Mei Mengzhen.
Even though it was still the weekend, his workload was packed. He'd been gone for two days straight, so he pushed his tasks onto Tan Jia. Big holiday and all, Tan Jia ended up alone in the office slogging away. Now that Pei Ziyu was back, of course he had to return to the law firm to help out.
But he still couldn't keep his expression in check.
So much so that when Tan Jia saw Pei Ziyu's face, he genuinely thought the Mei Family didn't approve of Pei Ziyu.
That was pretty amusing.
Tan Jia instantly got all gleeful and comforted him: "It's alright, so they didn't like you, big deal! Why the sad face? Zhenzhen's still young, you've got loads of time, four whole years! Let her auntie warm up to you slowly, nothing to worry about."
Except, that wasn't it at all.
Pei Ziyu said with a flat face: "Sorry to let you down, her auntie liked me a lot."
