"Well, I really gotta give it a try then." Hen Zeyu's mom didn't believe it, because this lineup was usually only seen at those places that scam elderly folks—never at a veggie seller's. This was really a first for her.
Hen Zeyu's mom left after sending Hen Zeyu to school and finishing the housework, so by now it was almost nine o'clock. Soon as she waited, the shop opened, and a swarm of people rushed inside. Their vibe was nothing like the folks who need seats on the bus—some grabbed veggies, some lined up to pay. Their moves were so practiced, it was obvious they'd been here before.
Hen Zeyu's mom had never seen anyone buy groceries like this. She was stunned for a second, but quickly joined in on the veggie-snatching action too.
Since everyone's snatching, might as well grab a little extra. Hen Zeyu's mom squeezed her way all around the place and ended up buying all kinds of stuff, then checked out and left.
