Agust stared amusedly at the warrior before him.
The way those tears were falling, you would think that the mad king had opened the floodgates himself. Honestly, they could have worked on the king.
Hell, they had worked one upon a time.
Back when Agust wanted to keep Jiminie safe, and the only way that he had chosen at the time was to fuck this man here senseless and make sure Jiminie hated him. But this time, I wasn't about hate.
Agust didn't want Jiminie to hate him.
He wanted Jiminie to love him.
He wanted what they once had, even if it was just for a few days. He couldn't even remember the last time Jiminie had confessed openly, not in the high of whatever the fuck they were always doing.
That was a hard reality check for Agust.
Because it was the reminder that no matter what he did, at the end of the day, he would always be the man who had been unable to be a good person for his Erasthai. He had never been worthy, and it was haunting him on a daily basis.
