Chapter 159 - 1

Chapter 1: Prologue: A Quiet Night

In Tachibana's Spells and Charms Antique Shop...

Ravenna stood there with a confident smirk as Tachibana stood behind his counter. His eyes were wide, but clearly wasn't surprised that she showed up unannounced. She did this a lot of times, but she was here for a different reason all together. Ravenna slowly entered his shop with eyes like daggers. Something about her seemed more intimidating than any other time she's shown up.

Before Tachibana knew it, she had used her magic to thrust him against the wall. He tried to grab his wand, but she was too quick. Ravenna smirked at him like she knew that he would try to use a spell on her.

"You actually think that she can defeat me with your flimsy wand?" Ravenna pointed out.

Tachibana struggled out of her grip even without a wand, but he was able to fight through it a bit. Ravenna pushed him again, but exposed something around her waist. It was the wand that he gave her a long time ago. When Midoriya and Iida came over to the shop with the spell book.

"Even without a wand, I can still take you down," Ravenna said to him as her hands glowed black.

Tachibana gritted his teeth in frustrated. Midoriya and Iida were lucky that she didn't turn them into toads. They got out of the shop without any sort of spells or charms casted by her. He was glad that they weren't here and away from the likes of her. Then she gritted her teeth and soon tightened her grip around her broom.

"Where is it?" Ravenna asked him through gritted teeth.

Tachibana's heart raced, knowing exactly what she was referring to. He noticed her eyes glancing at the spell book the moment Midoriya dropped it. She was intrigued by it instantly. He was hoping that she would forget about it and move on. But clearly she had been preparing to take it from him. That's why she hadn't shown up since then.

"I-I don't... know what... you're talking about..." Tachibana said through her magic.

She suddenly flung him into the floor, knocking down some charms and necklaces.

"Don't lie," Ravenna said, almost ready to cry out, "I know you have it. You would never toss out a spellbook like that. Not when it's so rare."

Tachibana stood up, but felt his leg twitch from the pain. He needed his wand and tried to make a run for it. But then Ravenna casted a spell, but he tried to dodge it. Once she casted another spell, he grabbed onto his wand. He felt himself get hit by the spell, which made vines come out from underneath his shop and wrap around him. He had no time to cast anything to defend himself.

The vines wrapped around him and had thorns on them. They tightened around him, causing him to wince in pain. Ravenna was almost losing her smirk as she looked around the shop for the spell book. She wasn't happy, but she was still able to keep her composure.

"Tachibana... you were once a powerful sorcerer. I looked up to you, believe it or not. But you gave up all of that just to open this ancient shop," Ravenna said to him, "I could easily defeat you without my wand. What makes you think that you could when you can't even use magic without one?"

Tachibana held onto the wand, but couldn't even point it at her. The thorns were hurting him, causing him to almost drop it. He tightened his grip around it, trying to fight through the pain. A little bit of blood dripped down onto the floor, and Ravenna wasn't giving up without a fight.

"Yo-You... may be able to use magic without a wand..." Tachibana said through the pain, "But... I will never tell you where that spell book is..."

Ravenna's eye brow twitched for a moment, and soon the wind picked up all around her. That caught his attention, and her magic intensified as if there was a storm in Tachibana's shop.

Then something caught her attention.

Ravenna's eyes locked onto something, and Tachibana noticed the curtain move from her wind.

The container of the spell book was exposed.

It was revealing the spell book as Ravenna went at it with her magic.

Ravenna smiled at it as her eyes locked onto it.

"Looks like you didn't have to tell me after all," Ravenna said back, "I'll be taking the spell book since no one is using it."

Ravenna soon blew the curtains off of its hinges and soon brought the container over to her with her magic. It was a strong gust of wind, and Tachibana struggled to get out of the thorns and vines. Ravenna soon realized that Tachibana used magic to bind it to the container.

It was sealed shut with magic.

"Y-You... can't open it... not without a spell..." Tachibana said to her.

Ravenna's hands glowed black, causing the container to melt in her hands. Tachibana was shocked to see her perform dark magic, which seemed to hurt her. He knew that she was strong and smart, but this was a whole other story.

"Dark magic...? Ravenna, you're smarter than this to use dark magic," Tachibana said to her.

"Some things are worth using dark magic for," Ravenna said to him.

Ravenna held the spell book in her hands, and Tachibana knew that he was in trouble. She felt it getting stronger as she held it in her hands. Something about the spell book being out of the container caused it to glow. What surprised him was that he noticed that it wasn't glowing just green and pink.

It was glowing like a rainbow.

He worried that it had gotten stronger over time without him realizing it.

"What... What is this magic?" Ravenna asked herself, "This is... something else entirely..."

Ravenna's eyes widened as she stared at the spell book. She went to open it, and Tachibana felt the need to stop her.

"Ravenna, stop!" Tachibana cried out, "That spell book is dangerous. It's not something to mess with."

"Then it's my kind of spell book," Ravenna said to him, "Besides... I know it won't work for me anyways..."

Tachibana felt that as she flipped through the spell book. Soon enough, she opened it to the first page and used her magic to show Tachibana something important.

This Spell book belongs to: Izuku Midoriya.

Tachibana's heart was racing, knowing exactly what she was getting at. Ravenna noticed his reaction, knowing exactly what she wanted all along.

"Now... tell me where this Izuku Midoriya is...?"

In the shadows...

It was a quiet night. It was slightly windy, but nothing out of the ordinary. The trees rustled in the wind as someone ran through the woods. A young girl was running and out of breath. Her feet were barefoot and had a few cuts and bruises from running and tripping. She didn't know where she was going and what to do.

She just kept going, hoping to find some help.

She needed to get away before things stirred up. Something about her was drawn to a shrine that she found in the distance. It was a bit far away from her kingdom, but she found it. It somehow transported her out of her kingdom and into wherever she was. She relieved to have at least gotten out of there. She was just glad that she could get some help.

Or at least she hoped so.

She kept running, feeling her legs aching as she kept going. Tears ran down her face as she ran through the woods. Her eyes were bright from the moonlight hitting against them, and her silver hair was so long and beautiful as she ran. Even if she were a princess, she didn't care about what she looked like at the moment.

All she cared about was finding help.

Before she knew it, she tripped and fell onto the ground. She felt herself tumble down and couldn't get back up. She soon stopped into an open field, unable to get up. As she tried to get up, she noticed that her magic was causing flowers to bloom. She was nervous that she might cause trouble for others. But she was so tired and in pain that she could barely move. Her head hurt from feeling dizzy as her vision blurred from feeling so tired.

She felt tears flowing down her face as they landed on a flower nearby. That caused the field to light up as the moonlight shined down on her. The flowery field was glowing from her magic as the one single tear made the plain field look like something out of a fairy tale book.

"Mo-Mother... Father..." She trembled as she fell to the ground.

She felt herself drifting to sleep, knowing that she needed help. She knew that her magic might be able to reach out to someone nearby. The magic was different like that. But she didn't know where she was. But she did feel a weird energy nearby that might be strong enough to help her out of here. She felt herself reaching out to the weird energy as if they were someone magical.

Someone they could trust.

"Please... help me..."
