Chapter 214 - The wrath of the storm

The symbols on Mae's body no longer glowed; they now appeared only as tattoos.

Shlomo ran her fingers over Mae's arm, seemingly sensing a powerful surge of magical energy within. She didn't dare imagine what would have happened if it hadn't been for the magic to control it.

She then used the scrolls she had brought with her, sticking them onto the walls of the room. She then murmured a spell, creating a protective barrier around the room.

"That's fine, with the scrolls wrapped around to prevent the magic from escaping," Shlomo said.

"Thank you for your help, Lady Shlomo. My family has troubled you," Gula said.

"There's no need for such formalities. Your mother is my master, my benefactor. This is nothing compared to what she's done in the desert," Shlomo replied.

The High Priestess's gaze fell upon the woman sleeping soundly on the bed, with the life within her womb about to awaken.

"You have a truly wonderful mother. She'll do anything for you," Shlomo said.
