Nianzhi still didn't like eating vegetables. He used his spoon to push the greens off his plate onto the table, but then suddenly remembered the stone-faced uncle saying he wasn't allowed to be picky anymore.
He stood up from his chair again and used his spoon to scoop the vegetables back.
Qin Yin smiled and asked, "Nianzhi, what are you doing?"
"Mommy, give me another helping of the green stuff. Even though it looks awful, I still have to eat it."
Qin Yin was surprised at Nianzhi's sudden maturity.
Jiang Jinyu quickly reached out with his chopsticks and gave Nianzhi a few pieces of greens, which Nianzhi began to chew like a sheep grazing on grass.
"Mommy, isn't this green stuff what sheep eat? Why do we humans have to eat it, too?"
Jiang Jinyu laughed, "It's different from what sheep eat; sheep eat grass, and we eat vegetables."
Nianzhi seemed to understand, yet maybe didn't entirely, but he picked another piece of green vegetable to chew on.
