"Ah—" Si Wan screamed, intending to go forward to support her, but another figure moved even faster than lightning, rushing forward and catching her before Qin Yin hit the ground.
Qin Yin looked at him through blurred eyes, raindrops splattering on her eyes making it hard to see clearly. She hoarsely and weakly called out, "Nan Sichen, is it really you?"
She wanted to reach out to touch his face, but her hand fell down halfway.
Then she closed her eyes, losing consciousness entirely.
Nan Sichen's brows were filled with agony. He bent down to pick up Qin Yin, exuding a cold solemnity.
"Mr. Nan." Si Wan called out to him from behind.
"You should go back first." Nan Sichen said lightly, then found a nearby hotel, booked a room, and settled Qin Yin in.
He watched her form, his heart aching to the point of suffocation, helped her undress from her wet clothes, laid her on the bed, used a warm towel to cleanse her body, and carefully blew her hair dry with a blow dryer.
