The ground emitted a dull sound again, cracks began to appear, the soil sank, giving a sense of impending collapse.

Su Ran looked at the surrounding terrain with his heart pounding, feeling extremely tense. He could imagine the scene of the Desert Maze collapsing; if it really came to that, he reckoned he'd have to perish along with General Ben Valley.
"No need to worry."
To Su Ran's surprise, Ben Valley actually replied to him. Not only that, it stopped its meditative state, stood up, and laughed at Su Ran, saying, "Let's just leave now, shall we?"
"Senior, have you completed the absorption?"
Su Ran felt a surge of joy; Ben Valley's conclusion came at just the right time, finally enabling an escape from this ghostly place!
