"Brother."
The word echoed through the palace.
Sebastian couldn't move.
For several seconds, he simply stared at the little boy standing beside the ancient king.
Black hair.
Pale skin.
Golden red eyes.
Small black wings folded against his back.
The boy looked no older than eight.
But there was something wrong about him.
Something that made Sebastian's instincts scream.
The boy smiled again.
"Brother."
Sebastian's throat tightened.
"No."
The boy tilted his head.
"You don't remember me?"
Sebastian slowly shook his head.
"I've never seen you."
The ancient king looked at him.
"You have."
Sebastian's gaze hardened.
"Who is he?"
The ancient king didn't answer.
Instead, the little boy stepped forward.
The ancient king immediately caught his shoulder.
"Stay back."
The boy looked up at him.
"But he's my brother."
"I know."
"I want to talk to him."
"You cannot."
The boy's expression changed.
For the first time, his childish smile disappeared.
"He forgot me."
