Edward Smith scoffed in his heart.
If he had a daughter, he'd never let his mom raise her; he didn't want another rough lass coming out of the Smith Family.
He remained silent and didn't respond to Evelyn Taylor's words.
Evelyn continued on her own:
"That Johnson Fefferman, you seem to quite like him. How about Mom takes Dad and flies to Germany one day to propose?"
"Mom!"
Edward rubbed his temples a bit painfully and said:
"Please don't play matchmaker, Johnson and I are just friends."
Evelyn gave him an exceptionally undignified eye roll that could almost flip to the back of her head:
"Is that so? How come you don't give other female friends birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, New Year gifts, and all kinds of random gifts."
As she spoke, she stepped forward, grabbed Edward's collar, and yanked him downward, drawing him closer.
