"I'm being serious, my goddess is only one, and that's my wife."
Helen Melendy had been playfully teased by him countless times today, each time catching her completely off guard.
"Such a smooth talker."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, she turned her eyes away, but couldn't suppress the smile curling at the corners of her lips.
Finally, she simply grabbed the blanket and covered her head like a thief, laughing so hard she trembled all over.
"Are you secretly laughing, my dear wife?"
Harry Hall's voice sounded from outside the blanket, followed by two playful tugs at it.
Helen held on tightly, and he didn't use much force either. From inside the blanket came Helen's muffled voice, "No."
Harry chuckled softly, "Then are you crying from being moved?"
"No."
From inside the blanket came Helen's hurried denial.
"Really? Let me see."
Saying that, he started pulling at the blanket, and Helen held on tightly, not letting him pull.
