Maxwell Peary frowned and looked towards the doctor.
"How is she? What's going on?"
"It's like this. Her body is a bit weak, she fainted from not being able to handle the shock. It's nothing serious, but she needs to rest and be mindful of influences. Most importantly, she needs to stay relaxed..."
The doctor's instructions were still ringing in his ears when Maxwell waved his hand to indicate the doctor should stop talking, and he stepped to Anne Davidson's bedside.
"Maxwell."
Anne smiled at him, truly happy.
"I knew you wouldn't ignore me."
Anne repeated what she had said before, her face full of hope.
"You asked the hospital to call me and have me pay the hospital bill, how could I not come?"
The hospital directly called MC Group's Secretary Department and had the secretary transfer the call here, causing quite a commotion. Could he possibly not come?
And also, he actually wanted to come and explain to her clearly.
Some things just don't need to be babbled about here.
