"Come on everyone, tell me, don't you think they're playing a trick on me? Last night I went over to talk to them about a match for Tara, and they told me Tara didn't have a boyfriend. Now all of a sudden she has one this morning. What am I supposed to do? I've already talked to the man's family, and they're waiting over there."
Aunt Zhou's mouth was not to be underestimated—how could she let this go so easily?
In an instant, many people began to chatter.
"I have a boyfriend now, so obviously I'm not going on a blind date. Should I lie and say I don't have a boyfriend?"
Tara Jameson couldn't stand people pointing fingers and gossiping about her parents, so she spoke up immediately.
"Lying? Don't try to twist words with me. I know you've had more education, but do you think you're making sense right now?"
Listening to her words, Tara stood there, her lips twitching.
"I don't need to make sense; I have a boyfriend now and I'm not going on a blind date."
