Chapter 63 - 63. One Strike

Ignoring the No.1 grand entrance, Chu Yan and the group then walked toward No. 2 zone area. Suddenly, there is someone block their path as the figure rushing straight at him. At the forefront was a tall, imposing figure with sharp features and a haughty expression—Liu Wuxiang, the top student from No. 5 High School.

Liu Wuxiang stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto Chu Yan. "So, this is the so-called rising genius of No. 2 High School," he said, his voice dripping with disdain. "I've heard quite a bit about you, Chu Yan. But I wonder if you're really as strong as they say, or if it's all just talk."

The surrounding students from various schools began to murmur, gossiping in low voices as they watched the confrontation unfold. The tension in the air was palpable, and it was clear that Liu Wuxiang was looking to provoke Chu Yan into a fight.

"What's going on?"

"I know that student. Isn't that Liu Wuxiang, one of our top 5? Who's the other?"

Chu Yan, however, remained calm, his expression indifferent. "I'm not interested in wasting my time," he replied, his voice even. "I have more important matters to attend to."

With that, Chu Yan and his group turned to leave, intending to head toward the No. 2 High School zone. But Liu Wuxiang was not one to be ignored. A sneer spread across his face as he drew his blade with a swift motion. "You think you can just walk away from me?" he spat, rushing straight at Chu Yan, his sword flashing with intent.

Seeing that this person had the audacity to attack him without provocation, Chu Yan's eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger rising within him. His rejection of the challenge wasn't out of fear but rather because he considered the attacker too weak to be taken seriously. The audacity to provoke him and then attempt a sneak attack only added to his ire.

In an instant, he unsheathed his sword, his movements fluid and precise. With a single powerful strike, he blasted Liu Wuxiang back, sending him crashing into the stadium wall with a force that left him unconscious.

The sudden clash sent shockwaves through the crowd. The surrounding students gasped in shock, their whispers growing louder as they processed what had just happened. The force of Chu Yan's attack had been overwhelming, and it was clear to everyone watching that Liu Wuxiang had severely underestimated his opponent.

The explosion immediately set off alarms among the teachers from various schools, who rushed to the scene with serious expressions. The principal of No. 5 High School, his face contorted with anger, stepped forward and pointed an accusatory finger at Chu Yan. "This is unacceptable!" he bellowed. "Chu Yan launched a sneak attack on my student! He should be disqualified at once!"

Simultaneously, the principal cast a disdainful glance at Liu Wuxiang, his expression reflecting his contempt. Liu Wuxiang's provocation of Chu Yan was a deliberate act, carried out under the principal's orders to test Chu Yan's strength and, if possible, eliminate him as a threat to his school's team.

However, the principal had never anticipated that not only was Chu Yan incredibly strong, but he had also injured his student to the point of unconsciousness. This alone was enough to potentially cause a significant drop in their school's ranking, which would have serious repercussions for their standing in the Federation.

Chu Yan met the principal's gaze with a calm, knowing probably this disgusting old man the root of cause. He had never encountered Liu Wuxiang or anyone from No. 5 High School before, so the sudden, unprovoked attack was clearly orchestrated by someone else. Even a fool could see that someone had ordered Liu Wuxiang to act against him.

"It was Liu Wuxiang who attacked me first," Chu Yan stated coldly, casting a piercing glance at the principal of No. 5 High. "I merely defended myself."

"Absurd! Why would my student sneak attack you? I'll be sure to address this with your teacher!" the principal retorted angrily.

"Perhaps you should first ascertain the facts of what actually occurred," Chu Yan replied with icy detachment. "Do you still wish to report me? I also intend to file a complaint with the head examiner. I came to the Federation Hall to participate in the exchange meet, but instead, I was ambushed by a student from your school. Now, you, a teacher, are acting without seeking the truth and bullying someone weaker. Is this how No. 5 High trains its staff and students?"

"That's right," Su Ming chimed in with a sneer. "I've seen shamelessness before, but this is unprecedented. It was your student who ambushed us first. Everyone present can attest to that. Furthermore, there are surveillance cameras all over the school. You can review the footage to verify the truth. And now, you have the audacity to accuse us? It's truly remarkable."

"I can also confirm that Liu Wuxiang was the one who initiated the ambush," Ouyang Feng added, his tone firm.

The principal of No. 5 High's face shifted through shades of green and white. It became clear to him that Chu Yan was not the naive youth he could easily dominate. His grip tightened, and a trace of his Martial Master aura leaked out. Chu Yan merely sneered at the display.

"Even so, you shouldn't have beaten him to this extent," the principal said stubbornly.

Chu Yan's eyes glinted with cold amusement. "Oh? Am I supposed to just stand by while he ambushes me? Or do you, as a Martial Master, plan to target a junior like myself?"

"Is this what you call self-defense? A junior?!" The principal's face darkened with anger. "Do you think I will tolerate such disrespect from a mere junior?"

"Don't blame me," Chu Yan retorted with a sneer. "These are the standards of No. 5 High's students. If they're so weak they can't even withstand a single attack, what can I do?"

The students from No. 5 High shot furious glares at Chu Yan. If looks could kill, he would have been struck down a dozen times over. Not only the students of No. 5 High but also the principals from other schools watched the scene with keen interest.

"I believe there's been a misunderstanding," the No. 5 principal said through gritted teeth, enunciating each word carefully.

The evidence was clearly against them, and if the matter continued, No. 5 High would find itself at a severe disadvantage. The situation was not only damaging but deeply humiliating. Liu Wuxiang, a top student from No. 5 High, had been defeated with a single strike. Should this incident become widely known, it could deal a severe blow to the school's reputation and future prospects.

"Misunderstanding? Fine, let's call it a misunderstanding then!" Chu Yan sneered, his tone dismissive.

He was uninterested in prolonging the farce. What could he gain by creating more turmoil? Despite his grievances, the loss fell squarely on No. 5 High. He understood that the consequences for them would not be severe.

Meanwhile, on the second floor, a figure who had witnessed the entire scene murmured, "This is quite intriguing."
