The weather wasn't too cold, not too hot. The wind blew from time to time. So many trees grew new leaves and branches, having a fresher look.
Amidst the gigantic field, the man, Choi Yeonjun stood. He wore a muscle shirt, and jeans, looking at the horizon with a broad grin.
His shift just ended. At least for now. Since it was a field day, his morning went hasty. After sending everyone back, he took a sigh of relief.
He went under a giant tree and pulled out his phone. As he unlocked the screen, his face beamed by a picture on his wallpaper. The selfie of him and Soobin, smiling while looking at the camera. After a moment of staring, he finally remembered why he took out his phone.
Unfortunately, there was no notification. He double checked, but there was nothing.
That's why he opened his messages and searched for the latest text he got. It was only promotional texts. Nothing else. No reply from Soobin. Their last conversation was his text which he sent Soobin this morning: "Gd mrng, ml. Did u eat?"
But, there was no reply. No text, no calls, not even a missed call.
Yeonjun sighed. His bright expression turned gloomy.
Now that he thinks about it, Soobin was always like this. He only replied when he needed something or if he was asked something. Just yeah, no, or something like that.
But, today? He hasn't replied with even 'hm'. Couldn't he at least type 'yes' or 'hm'? He pouted.
"Hey! Malsun! Come and have spicy kimchi bibimbap!" An older woman called him.
"Coming!" Yeonjun slipped his phone after glancing at it again and sighing.
"Oh, grandma! Did you make it?" He chirped and sat on the mat.
After he finished eating, he took out his phone once again. Still, there was nothing he expected.
Now, he started worrying as concern wrapped him like a thick blanket.
He dialed Soobin's number and it rang continuously. As always, there was no reply.
What is he doing? Is he mad? Is he ignoring me on purpose? Did I do something wrong? But, what? He started reminiscing the previous day.
He came to work. Worked till noon. Chatted with him on the phone. Then he went to the city. Then he came back and parked his truck. Then he went straight to Soobin's home. And spent a very passionate and hot night.
As the memory of last night flooded in his head, Yeonjun giggled. He looked above, his face turned cherry red as he drooled.
"Was it that spicy?" the old woman asked.
"Huh?" Yeonjun snapped back and shook his head.
"Ah! No no! I'm a strong man, you know! This much spice can't defeat me! Hmph!" He raised his hand and flexed his muscles while the woman laughed mockingly.
Once she left, Yeonjun started thinking what went wrong again.
Oh, right! Soobin also wanted to drop by the city, but he forgot and left without him. Was that why he was mad? Oh no! What should he do now? Yeonjun nibbled on his nail, thinking of a way to apologize.
Should he just go now and apologize? What if he's super angry? Although he was a bit sulky, he spent the night with him. Besides, he looks inattentive nowadays. Was there any particular reason? Yeonjun couldn't understand.
And when he was thinking about them, he had never acted clingy or affectionate. This might be his nature, but doesn't he deserve a bit of affection? Yeonjun pouted. He doesn't expect him to be all touchy and feely. Still, he hopes Soobin would open up more and express his feelings more.
If he was that upset, he should've at least given him a hint.
He went to Soobin's bakery. But, the staff said he went home early today. Now, that was strange. Why didn't he inform me? Yeonjun wondered.

Yeonjun parked his truck in his garage and picked up the bouquet he made for Soobin.
Since it was Valentine's day, he wanted to give him something even if he was angry.
Should he check how he's looking right now? Thinking about it, Yeonjun entered his house and got ready. He brushed his hair finely and slipped himself into a nice shirt. Then he walked out and went towards Soobin's home. Since it was just beside his own house, it took a minute to get there.
He knocked on the door, holding the bouquet to his chest like it was his own child. To his surprise, the door wasn't locked. And the interior was super dark as if darkness itself came down into his house. Yeonjun's chest throbbed by the sudden memory of being under the bathtub. He gasped, quickly went in. But, everything's dark. Too dark to see anything.
He swallowed hard. No-no! Soobin! You must be okay! Don't scare me like that! He huffed and went towards the switchboard.
"H-hyung! I-is t-that y-you?" Soobin's voice came from the dark.
"Soobin-ah! Are you okay? I can't find the light switch." he said with concern.
"I-I'm f-fine! B-but don't turn o-on the s-switch!" Soobin shouted, fumbling on his words as if he was scared.
"Are you here? I'm not seeing you." Yeonjun raised his hand and he felt the switchboard just above his finger.
He hurriedly turned on the light and saw Soobin's back. He was sitting on the floor, clutching his legs. It was as if he turned himself to a gimbap roll.
"S-soobin?" he gasped.
"D-don't come closer! I… I'm not ready yet." he stuttered again.
Yeonjun was puzzled. What was going on? Why was he squatting like that? And his behavior… did he hate him that much? That he didn't want him near himself?
"Soobin-ah! Would you please forgive me? I swear I won't…" he couldn't finish his words because Soobin turned to him.
That was when he noticed…
The black clothes he had on him weren't any mere t-shirt or casual wear. It was…
A dress.
A maid's dress.
As Soobin stood up slowly and lowered his head, his face flushed red. As if it's a tomato, not a human.
He was wearing a black dress and a white apron. Beneath the dress, his legs were visible completely even though he had long socks on. Above his head, a pair of bunny ears attached like they weren't fake, but real. He clutched his hand over another, his head still bowed out of embarrassment.
"I… thought… I should… p-prepare something… special… and B-beomgyu gave m-me the i-idea… I thought y-you might l-like i-it." Soobin faltered, his whole face and ears were crimson red.
"M-ma… m-mas… m-mast-ter!"
Yeonjun couldn't resist himself anymore. He threw the bouquet on the floor and ran to him, pulling him near himself and pressed his lips against his.
"H-hyung…?!" Soobin widened his eyes.
*Hmmh*
*Umh*
*Hah*
*Nngh*
Soobin tried to break free since he was out of breath, but Yeonjun kept smooching, slipping his tongue in his mouth. Although he was short of air, he just couldn't let Soobin go.
After a very long kiss, when he couldn't bear it anymore, he let Soobin go. Both of them panted.
"I have to thank Beomgyu." Yeonjun giggled while his hand touched Soobin's chest, slowly trying to unbutton his dress.
"If you… end up… removing e-everything… what's the point of putting s-so much effort?" Soobin stuttered once again, his face still red.
"Fine. I'll let you keep the dress on. But, not fully." Yeonjun smirked, grabbing his collar and pulling him closer.
The night went deeper, but the two souls remained unbothered as their bodies became one with each passing minute.
On the other side, the flower bouquet stayed untouched on the floor.
