Chapter 1 - Priority Task: Initial Action Required

In the illustrious Empire of Dunsinane, the populace adores and venerates the Emperor and Empress as if they were deities.

William ascended to the throne at the tender age of 17, and immediately following his coronation, he was compelled to enter into a marriage to secure an Empress for the empire.

And at the tender age of 16, Venezia was compelled into matrimony with the Emperor by the decisions of her parents and her elder brother.

After four years of wedded life, they transformed into the ideal Emperor and Empress the people had ever aspired to have. Yet, a significant predicament persisted – the throne remained heirless.

"Tonight, Venezia, we can no longer postpone what needs to happen," William declared as he left her room, not waiting for her response.

Venezia didn't even spare a glance in his direction, but in her mind, she directed a torrent of curses towards him with all her mental strength.

As rumors spread throughout the palace about the Empress's changed attitude towards the Emperor, it became evident to everyone. William, in response, chose to treat Venezia as if she were merely a decorative piece or a jewel necessary for the enhancement of his own image.

Venezia went unnoticed by most, as long as she played her role, but little did they know, the person they were tormenting was no longer present, and her body housed another soul.

Indeed, it is true. I now inhabit the body of Empress Venezia, a character from a novel I had recently completed, just days before my unfortunate demise in a car accident.

Venezia resorted to consuming poison, unable to bear the distressing circumstances and the tumultuous events in her life, primarily attributable to William.

Yet, it's perplexing that she now sits here, sipping tea and alive, due to my unanticipated reincarnation within her body.

On my third day inhabiting Venezia's life, I must admit, it hasn't been as disagreeable as I initially anticipated.

William has proven to be quite bothersome, but aside from that, I encounter no significant issues. I'm relieved of any labor, and my existence revolves around living a life of opulence and maintaining an appearance of grace and beauty.

However, that tranquil existence was abruptly disrupted when William declared that we must attempt to conceive a child tonight.

I had been indifferent to most things, but the thought of being intimate with William was a line I was unwilling to cross. That was something I couldn't fathom, not even in a million billion years.

"I must complete my tasks before night descends," Venezia says, placing her teacup on the table with determination.

Venezia bursts into William's office and exclaims, "William, I want a divorce this instant."

Upon hearing this, William's jaw dropped in shock, and he hesitantly asked, "Is this because of what I said today?"

"Yes," Venezia replied in an instant.

"Let's discuss this, Venezia," William said as he rose from his desk.

"We are talking right now," Venezia retorts.

"Why are you being like this? You've never complained before about doing what I ask. Is it really that difficult for you?" William replies, attempting to maintain his composure.

"Yes, it's incredibly hard for me to endure your nonsense. Please, just divorce me while I'm still trying to be civil," Venezia responded, struggling to keep her emotions in check.

"I can't grant a divorce right now. If you're so against the idea of spending the night together, I'll postpone our plans and avoid any vulgar language or displays," William replied, attempting to find a compromise.

"I'm truly sorry, but I can't spend another moment being married to you. Can you please be so kind as to grant me a divorce?" Venezia implored.

"Why are you being so persistent? I've already made it clear that I won't divorce you," William replied, frustration evident in his tone.

"I'm not leaving until you agree to divorce me. You can marry your lover after the divorce – what's the problem?" Venezia threw a tantrum, determined to have her way.

"How did you? Are you spying on me?" William replied, looking flustered by the accusation.

At that moment Venezia realized that she fucked up.

"You do have a secret lover? I was just saying it for your future lover," Alicia said, her mastery in lying and manipulation evident.

"No, I don't," William replied, clearly flustered by the accusation..

"You just mentioned having one. Don't lie to me now. Who is she? Is she pretty?" Venezia asked, her curiosity piqued.

"She is the prettiest girl I've ever seen," William replied, his shyness showing.

"Then why don't you marry her?" Venezia asks.

"Because of you!" William shouted, his frustration and anger finally coming to the surface.

"Then divorce me already, for God's sake!" Venezia shouted back, the tension in the room reaching its peak.

William asks, "I can?" with a glimmer of hope in his eyes..

"Of course you can; you're the emperor of this empire. No one is above you. You can do whatever you want, marry the love of your life, make her your empress, William," Venezia tried to persuade him with sincerity.

"That's right, I'm the emperor. I can do whatever I want," William said to himself, a newfound determination in his voice.

Venezia handed him the divorce papers she had prepared since the first day of her arrival in the novel and said, "Yes, that's the spirit. Now, sign these divorce papers for me and go marry the girl of your dreams."

"Yes, I'll go propose to her right now. Thank you, Venezia," William said with gratitude, signing the divorce papers without reading them.

"K.O.," Venezia whispered to herself as she watched William take the papers.

"What kind of ring should I give her? I don't have anything prepared right now," William asked for advice, realizing he had some preparations to make.

"Here you go, nothing can stop you now," Venezia said, handing her own engagement ring to William with a proud smile.

"Thank you Venezia" William leaves.
