"You―" Damon's face was so red it was almost purple. A vein jumped in the side of his throat.
I had seen Damon angry before. More than once, actually. However, this time, he looked downright murderous.
Blaise must've felt my unease, for his hand tightened around mine. While I was sure he had the best intentions in mind, I couldn't help but wonder if he was trying to get me killed.
Damon's eyes narrowed, fixating on our joined hands. His stare was as though he was hoping and praying just one glare alone would cause both our hands to go up in flames. The ferocity and intensity of his glare had my hands turning clammy as I pursed my lips.
It wasn't just Damon. Those eyes that had been staring our way no longer tried to remain discrete. Now that their alpha had so outwardly called out Blaise and me for our actions, they looked with no remorse. They whispered amongst themselves, their eyes never once leaving our figures, some even pointing and gesturing at our connected hands.
