...
Lawler nodded grimly. "For weeks, months, we've seen Sandro and his cronies run roughshod over this company. And frankly, I hope RAW and SmackDown succeed. The arrogance we've seen from Sandro and his group has been suffocating. Tonight is the night the dam breaks."
"Oh, stop it! Just stop it right now!"
JBL's voice cut through the others like a foghorn. Adjusting his Stetson hat, he leaned into the mic with his signature bluster. "Now hold on just a minute there, King! You talk about arrogance, I talk about excellence! You're looking at the greatest faction in the history of this business!"
Cole sighed audibly. "John, you can't possibly condone what Sandro and his crooks has done to the sanctity of the championships."
"Sanctity?" JBL scoffed, "I'm a former WWE Champion, Maggle. I held that belt longer than anyone in modern history on SmackDown. I know greatness when I see it. And as for Sandro Zhang? I acknowledge him! That man is the new Wrestling God! I was a Wrestling God in my day, so I know one when I see one. These people should be thanking him for the privilege of watching him work!"
"Privilege?" Cole scoffed. "He's a tyrant, John!"
"He's a winner, Michael!" JBL shot back. "And in this business, that's the only thing that matters!"
Lawler argued. "He have brainwashed these stars unde him."
"He's liberated them!" JBL fired back. "Look at Ziggler! Look at McIntyre! Look at Kofi! Look at all members! They were drowning in mediocrity except for Jericho of course, until Sandro gave them a lifeline. Tonight isn't about the WWE fighting back, it's about the WWE realizing they've already lost. The System is Undisputed for a reason!"
The camera cut to the ring as the ring announcer began the introductions for the opening contest, but the tension at the commentary table remained palpable.
The narrative line was drawn. On one side, the establishment voices praying for the fall of the empire. On the other, JBL, the wealthy, arrogant legend, seeing his own reflection in the dominance of Sandro.
"Bragging words indeed, synonymous to our pay per view," Cole muttered. "By the end of this night, we're going to find out who really runs this company. The board of directors... or the man in the God mask."
"My money's on the God," JBL whispered loudly, leaning back in his chair. "Always bet on the God."
Suddenly, the arena lights flickered and turned a sickly, mesmerizing shade of neon pink mixed with the Undisputed System's signature gold. The speakers screeched with a digital distortion before slamming into a mashup of Alexa Bliss's theme and the heavy, industrial beat of the Undisputed System.
"And here comes the Queen of the System!" JBL cheered.
The reaction from the Minneapolis crowd was instantaneous, a high pitched wall of boos that seemed to delight the woman stepping through the curtain.
Alexa Bliss emerged, the Divas Championship resting on her hip like a fashion accessory she was born to wear. She wasn't alone. Flanking her were AJ Lee and Nikki Bella, the three of them moving with a synchronized, predatory grace.
They walked down the ramp, soaking in the hatred, blowing mocking kisses to the front row. It was a display of sexiness, mischief, and untouchable arrogance.
"Look at that confidence!" JBL roared. "That is the look of a champion who knows she runs the division."
"It's the look of a woman who relies on her friends to keep her title," Striker countered dryly.
"They walk like they own the place." Lawler said, though his tone was less admiring and more wary than usual.
"Because they do, King!" JBL barked. "That's confidence! That's power! You're looking at the queens of the chessboard."
They entered the ring, Alexa climbing the turnbuckle to pose, while AJ and Nikki patrolled the apron like sharks.
Then, the drums hit. Tamina's entrance music blared, a stark contrast to the System's synthesized arrogance. Tamina walked out accompanied by her cousins, Jey and Jimmy Uso. The mood shifted from pageantry to warfare.
Tamina looked focused, her eyes locked on Alexa. She marched down the ramp, the Usos hyping up the crowd, ensuring that the numbers game outside the ring would be neutralized.
Tamina entered the ring and posed, her gaze never leaving the champion, while the Usos stood guard at ringside, eyeing AJ and Nikki.
The referee, looking nervously between the two factions at ringside, checked both women for foreign objects. He signaled for the bell.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
The match began, and it was immediately apparent that this wouldn't be a squash. It was a clash of styles that turned into an instant classic. Tamina brought the raw power, tossing Alexa across the ring with effortless suplexes that made the crowd gasp.
But Alexa was cunning. She utilized her size, ducking under clotheslines and targeting Tamina's knees with vicious precision.
"Smart strategy by Bliss!" JBL noted. "Chop down the tree!"
The crowd was electric, chanting back and forth. For every power move Tamina hit, including a devastating Samoan Drop that nearly ended it right there, Alexa had a counter. She used the ropes, the turnbuckles, and even the referee's positioning to her advantage.
It was a showcase of pure talent from both women. Tamina proved she could hang with the technical aspect, locking in a sharp Boston Crab, while Alexa showed surprising resilience and strength, breaking the hold and transitioning into a DDT attempt.
The climax came when Tamina climbed the top rope for the Superfly Splash. The arena held its breath. As she launched herself, Alexa rolled out of the way at the last millisecond. Tamina crashed canvas first, the impact shaking the ring.
Seizing the moment, Alexa didn't just go for a pin. She waited for Tamina to stumble to her feet, dazed. Alexa kicked her in the gut, flipped over her back, and hit a Snap DDT that drove Tamina's head into the mat with sickening velocity.
She then scrambled up the turnbuckle, eyes wide with manic focus, and launched herself into the Twisted Bliss. The rotation was perfect, the impact driven deep into Tamina's ribs.
One. Two. Three!
"Here is your winner, and STILL Divas Champion... Alexa Bliss!"
"And still!" JBL roared. "The Goddess reigns! Excellence personified!"
AJ and Nikki slid into the ring instantly, raising Alexa's hands as the Usos checked on their fallen cousin. Alexa clutched her title, blowing a kiss to the camera. The System had drawn first blood.
The energy in the Target Center didn't have time to settle. The momentum was set, and the Undisputed System wasn't slowing down.
"Whatever you do, don't blink for this next one," Cole warned. "We have two tanks coming down the aisle."
The lights shifted to a deep, ominous red, and out came Paul Heyman, looking like a proud father. Behind him walked the mountains, Big E and Ryback. The World Tag Team Championships looked small on their massive shoulders. They entered the ring not with flash, but with the terrifying calm of inevitable destruction.
Then, the music of Legacy hit. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. emerged. Despite their non title loss two weeks ago, the young challengers looked determined. They weren't just fighting for gold, they were fighting for respect. They walked with a purpose, sliding into the ring and immediately stepping up to the two behemoths. Face to chest, they stared down the champions.
"These young kids, Cody and Ted, they have heart," Lawler said. "But do they have the horsepower?"
"Heart doesn't break bricks, King," JBL retorted. "Big E and Ryback are human tanks."
After restoring order, the referee signaled for the bell, and the collision was seismic.
What followed was a tag team clinic. While many expected a squash given the size difference, Rhodes and DiBiase used their speed and technical prowess to isolate Ryback early on. Quick tags, double team maneuvers, and precise strikes to the legs kept the "Big Guy" grounded. It was a masterclass in tag team psychology.
But you can only hold back a landslide for so long.
Once Ryback made the hot tag to Big E, the dynamic shifted violently. Big E exploded into the ring, launching Cody Rhodes with a belly to belly suplex that sent him halfway across the canvas. He followed it up with a splash that knocked the wind out of the challenger.
"Good grief! The power of Big E is unearthly!" Cole screamed.
The match escalated into a frantic back and forth. Near falls were plentiful. At one point, DiBiase hit 'Dream Street' on Ryback, and the crowd thought it was over, but Big E broke the pin at the last possible fraction of a second.
The end came when chaos broke loose. DiBiase charged at Ryback, but Ryback caught him mid air, hoisting him up for the Shell Shock. Simultaneously, Cody tried to intervene, but Big E intercepted him, lifting him high for the Big Ending.
In a display of terrifying coordination, both champions hit their finishers at the exact same time. The impact was thunderous.
Ryback covered DiBiase. Big E stood guard.
The three count was academic.
"Here's your winners and STILL World Tag Team Champions... Big E and Ryback!"
Big E and Ryback stood over the fallen challengers, chests heaving, holding their titles high. They had been pushed to the limit, but the wall held firm.
"Two down," JBL gloated, adjusting his hat. "You boys might want to start drafting your concession speeches for the night."
"We still have the Intercontinental Title," Striker said, his voice tight. "And MVP is ready."
The energy shifted from raw power to high octane athleticism. Kofi Kingston's music hit, but the buoyant, happy go lucky Kofi of the past was gone. He walked out with a swagger that bordered on disdain. Flanking him were two heavy hitters, the NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler and the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho.
"Talk about an insurance policy," Striker muttered. "Jericho and Ziggler at ringside? That's not fair."
"Life isn't fair, Matt," JBL retorted. "It's smart business."
Kofi entered the ring, leaping onto the turnbuckle not to hype the crowd, but to look down on them.
Then MVP's music hit, and the "Ballin'" superstar came out with a swagger that refused to be intimidated. He didn't wait for the pyro, he marched down the ramp, eyes locked on Kofi.
He had blindsided Kofi on SmackDown, and he knew he had the mental edge. He wasn't afraid of the numbers game. He slid into the ring, chewing his gum, and got right in Kofi's face.
The referee ensured both men were ready, glancing warily at Jericho and Ziggler on the outside, before signaling for the bell.
MVP exploded out of the corner, tackling Kofi and raining down rights and lefts. It was a brawl from the opening seconds. MVP used his grappling background to ground the highflyer, hitting a bellytobelly suplex that sent Kofi halfway across the ring.
"MVP came to fight!" Cole yelled. "He's taking the fight to the System!"
But Kofi was resilient, and more importantly, he was cunning. Every time MVP gained momentum, Kofi would use a dirty tactic, a thumb to the eye when the ref was blocked, a pull of the tights.
The match evolved into a showcase of athleticism. Kofi hit a mesmerizing S.O.S. for a two count. MVP responded with the Playmaker, only for Kofi to roll through.
The climax was breathtaking. MVP set up for the Drive-By Kick in the corner. He charged, but Kofi exploded out of the corner with a Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere.
The impact sounded like a gunshot. MVP didn't fall immediately, he wobbled, dazed. Kofi, showing a cruel streak, didn't pin him. He spun around and hit a second Trouble in Paradise, this one knocking MVP cold.
Then, the Boom Drop.
Kofi hooked the leg, staring defiantly at the camera as the referee counted three.
"Here is your winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion... Kofi Kingston!"
"That is a message!" JBL shouted. "That is how a champion handles disrespect!"
But the message wasn't finished. As MVP tried to stir, Ziggler and Jericho slid into the ring. The referee tried to wave them off, but he was powerless. Ziggler hit a Zig Zag on the groggy MVP, and Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho while Kofi shouted insults into MVP's face.
"This is sick!" Striker yelled, ripping off his headset. "He already won the match! This is just assault!"
"This is consequences, Matthew!" JBL argued calmly. "You don't blindside a member of the Undisputed System and expect to walk away, you pay the tax. Simple economics." They left MVP lying in a heap in the center of the ring, the three champions raising their gold high above him, a triumvirate of dominance.
