A week passed since the Konoha Crush incident and Chiba began settling back into the real world again, after a decade of living with unlimited Chakra he still wasnt use to being Chakraless.
It helped him acclimate quicker by teaching Koizumi Swordsmanship once again, it helped remind him of the past and grounded him to reality.
Anko found out that he was training Koizumi again so she began hanging around during training without asking, Chiba had become very dense and lacked social cues but even he could tell Anko was pining for him.
Chiba did find her attractive and her wild personality did appeal to him, he just didnt have the time to actively go after a woman but it seemed Anko was going after him instead!
Beside re-training Koizumi, Chiba had been meditating deeply and focused on healing up his chakra network.
He could've done this much quicker if he had access to his Observation haki and could see someone else's network to replicate his, unfortunately he can only go off of memories and books to recreate his chakra network.
Fortunately it didnt have to be perfect, Chiba just needed to create a sloppy enough chakra network that worked enough to use his Observation haki. Biokinesis was powerful, but it truly shined once used in conjuncture with Observation haki.
Utilizing his Simulated world that was blended into his Mindscape, Chiba would meditate and enter his Mindscape to remember his Chakra network. Utilizing his memories he was quickly making progress on his chakra network, that same progress couldnt be said about Koizumi.
Chiba watched her swing her sword on the training ground, her quick draw technique was truly powerful for most Ninja but Chiba wasnt most people.
He could see the flaws in her technique, she obviously made it when she still had the supreme eyesight of the Mangekyou sharingan to rely on.
Without the Mangekyou, or even just regular eyesight, Koizumi's technique devolved into something that made Chiba cringe knowing it came from his disciple/sister.
Watching his sister grasp the handle of her sheathed sword, he watched her draw the blade and slice apart a single leaf into a dozen pieces. Despite this being an amazing feat for anyone, especially someone blind, Chiba had to hold in a sigh.
"Koizumi, im sure you've heard people around the village talking. You must know that i can regrow limbs with ease, i could grow dozens of eyes for you but do you know why i havent?" Koizumi had already knew the answer, it was something she dwellled on everyday since she went blind.
"Its because ive been too reliant on the Sharingan..." Koizumi tightened her hand on the purple sword, the heavy sword appeared weightless in her hand as she slice apart another leaf.
"Exactly, you've fallen into the trap of the Uchiha. Uchiha who awaken their Sharingan actually become worse, they rely too much on their Sharingan for battle making them losing their edge without it! Your case is especially bad, you've completely lost the confidence in your blade after becoming blind!"
At the end of the day Koizumi didnt see the sword as the source of her strength, she only believed in her Sharingan. Without her eyes, she felt weak and unconfident
Koizumi's technique was refined, her strength was Mighty and her speed was impressive, despite all of that she now hesitated as she swung her sword. She fought like her sword would break at any moment, she had absolutely no trust in herself.
Feeling that his sloppy chakra network was atleast 90% finished, Chiba stood up from his lotus stance and summoned his sword.
Before he even said anything the blade slashed forward at an ungodly speed clashing against Koizumi blade, sending her flying backwards.
She slammed into a tree that knocked the air out of her, her right wrist that grasped her sword was broken and she tasted the faint metallic taste of blood in her mouth.
"The only way to move past the fear and self doubt in your blade, is to let go... Let go of all attachments and fight like you're already dead. Once you remove the doubts in your blade, we can move onto the next part."
Standing up using her sword as a crutch, the heavily panting Koizumi didnt reply as she simply grasped her sword with her unbroken hand and activated the Flickering Step Jutsu.
Chiba wouldnt have though much of this and he couldn't have sensed it, but just as Koizumi activated her flickering body Jutsu, she added Wind release to it!
Appearing before chiba in a flash of blinding speed, his black eyes widened in shocked as the blade was already just inches from his face. Not being able to move his hands in time, Chiba opened his mouth and simply bit down.
He felt his cheeks get sliced open and his teeth get shattered but he didnt care as the blade was firmly locked into his bleeding face, with her sword in his teeth Chiba didnt hold back on his sister and stabbed his blade into her stomach.
The pressure on the blade in his mouth dissapeared, Chiba was disappointed in his sister for letting go of her blade to dodge but he was shocked at her next actions.
Instead of trying to dodge it entirely, Koizumi shifted her body so that Chiba blade missed her organs but cut deep into her sides as the storage scroll taped to her wrist flashed white.
With his blade slashing a chunk off her waist, Chiba saw the lightning vibration blade he first gave Koizumi on her graduation appear in her hand! Lightning channeled into the blade and it began vibrating at super speeds!
With one hand on the sword and his shattered teeth clenching onto her purple blade, Chiba was physically defenseless to the attack!
He could've used his Devil fruit to attack her or his Biokenisis to move the part of his body about to be stabbed, but he wasnt fighting Koizumi to win but to help her gain confidence. Chiba watched as Koizumi moved efficiently with zero wasted effort and had zero hesitation.
As her blade stabbed into his body and came out the other side Chiba felt the excruciating pain but despite that, a smile was etched onto his face.
"Now we can move onto the next part." Koizumi's blade didnt hesitate even against her own brother. She still had doubts in herself, everyone does, but it no longer showed in her blade.
Chiba's sword disappeared and he dropped the purple sword from his mouth, Koizumi also pulled the blade out of Chiba stomach.
Within a second his broken and blood mouth was healed back to normal and the only sign that Chiba had been stabbed was the hole he now had in his shirt.
Koizumi had been told multiple times by Chiba that unless she destroyed his brain, he'd be able to regenerate from any wound inflicted upon him.
"The doubt in your blade isnt gone but you've hid it very well... We can now move onto improving your technique."
