He said, "We left early today and have been on the road for a while. Are you tired? Why don't you lie down and rest for a bit."
Nell Harris shook her head, "I'm not used to sleeping outside."
"I'll be here watching over you, don't worry."
As he spoke, he bent down, picked up Nell Harris's foot, and slipped off her soft, flat sandals. Noting a blister on her heel, he frowned, "These shoes are terrible, they've rubbed a blister. Why didn't you tell me? Does it hurt?"
