Lude Johnson whispered jubilantly, "Xander, you're amazing!"
"Lude, do you want to go in first or should I?" Xander Harl maintained the appropriate politeness towards him.

Xander nodded, raised his hand, and slowly pushed the door open to a gap large enough for a person. He bent his body first, crawling inside.
