Time continued to quietly move forward unaffected by human will, swiftly arriving at the year 1992.
During this period, there were no significant landmark events. The only noteworthy occurrence was the death of Chris's former business partner, Howard, while en route to the Pentagon, killed by Bucky who had been transformed into the Winter Soldier, just as in the original plot.
However, due to Chris's influence, this time his wife Maria did not accompany him and stayed at home with their son Tony, thus avoiding the fate of the couple being killed together as in the original story.
Apart from this, Chris did not take any further actions, seemingly waiting for the right moment...
...
Recently, S.H.I.E.L.D. received information that Melina Vostokoff, a Soviet agent from the Red Room and a member of the Black Widow program, along with the first Soviet super soldier known as the Red Guardian, were sent to Ohio, USA, for a spy undercover mission. Their task was to steal research data on the Mind Control Formula from the Northern Research Facility controlled by S.H.I.E.L.D.
To make their cover identities more believable, two girls from the Red Room Academy, Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova, were assigned to play their daughters. The four of them thus disguised themselves as a typical American family of four.
Upon receiving the news, Chris happened to be in the middle of fucking with the former Black Widow, Dottie, but despite her displeased look, he immediately withdrew from her moist cavity, teleported to S.H.I.E.L.D., revealed his identity as the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., and led a large team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to visit.
This is exactly why he positioned himself as a founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., possessing sufficient power to make a prominent appearance when needed!
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Open up! You're busted!!!"
...
"I wonder what has caused such a grand visit from you all? Has my husband done something I'm not aware of? Let me apologize on his behalf first. Please come in and have a seat." Seeing Chris aggressively displaying his S.H.I.E.L.D. credentials, Melina sensed trouble and immediately tried to distance herself, making an inviting gesture towards Chris.
Chris opted to go in alone.
Natasha and Yelena had already been located and subdued by Coulson, Chris's newly recruited and reliable subordinate, leaving only Chris and Melina in the living room.
A sense of sophistication exuded from the woman before him, possibly due to her flawless integration into the role of a virtuous wife and mother. This was the aura of a married woman, the charm of managing a household and educating children.
"Mrs. Melina, you look quite lovely."
"Thank you for the compliment." Melina frowned, sensing something amiss. Things seemed more complicated than they appeared. Could it be that her spy identity had been compromised?
However, years of being a covert operative helped her maintain her composure. Even if her cover was blown, she had no intention of resisting or escaping.
Regardless of the slim possibility of breaking through the encirclement of the heavily guarded S.H.I.E.L.D. team, even if she managed to escape, there would be no one to support them...
If the mission was left incomplete, their "family" would simply be abandoned by Draykov, a senior officer of the Soviet armed forces and overseer of the Red Room...
Chris adjusted his neck and handed over a stack of photos, saying, "This is your work, isn't it?"
Confused, Melina opened the envelope to find photos of herself in the Black Widow uniform from the Red Room during a mission. Her hands trembled.
"Oh no..."
"I... I did indeed work for the Red Room in the past, but I managed to escape later... To evade pursuit by the Red Room, I chose to live here under a false identity..." Melina had to come up with a convincing explanation, as admitting to being a spy from another country was out of the question.
