Chapter 18 - Different Me

(A bit before Rion and Raya got out of the house) "Alright then, Raya, let's go this way," (Raya hesitates.) "Look, Rion, it seems we don't have much time. Follow me, or else we may end up getting caught." (Rion thinking, caught by who?) "I can't explain right now, but just follow me now." (Rion follows Raya's direction, and then both of them, in the middle of the night, end up in the woods.) "Are you crazy, Raya? Staying at night in the woods was your best option?!" "Oh, come on, it's beautiful. We can see the stars while we talk about our thoughts." (Does this girl really think I care about these things?) "Are you serious?" "Of course I am, Rion. Don't I look serious..." (While talking, Raya sees a firefly and follows it.) "So now tell me, how did you know about my powers, and why did we go this way?" "Oioi, wait a bit. One question at a time. I can't process all these words so quickly. So first, how I knew about your powers... Well, Daria told me. But after that, I always felt like I could tell all people like you. You know, it became like my power. I know I can feel your presence or power from thousands of miles away." "So you don't actually know my power, do you?" "Of course, I know. You are a Crodator, and from seeing an object, human, or animal, you can change it in how you would like, only by using your eyes." (So she knows. Rion starts to worry.) "And what about this location? Why here?" "Well, it seemed to me that someone else has some kind of power or some of your power injected into him too. I could feel him like you too." "What, another like me? Are you sure about what you are saying, Raya?" (Rion starts shaking Raya while saying this.) "Wow, it feels good to be shaken," (Rion stops shaking her.) "Of course, I am sure. It was definitely either a copy of you or your power there, coming." (My power, but I have used it only on four people and one room so far. Can it be that bald man and those three guys I killed?) "Now stop thinking about these and tell me, do you like me? Because I like you, Rion," (Rion says instantly, "No, I don't like you.") "Why? So, tell me the type of girl you like." "The type of girl I like?! Oh, come on, you know in our minds, everyone has a perfect boy or girl to spend their entire life. Like hair, body physique, job, personality, etc. Well, I would say that I like someone who would treat me as I would treat her. She must be good at fighting; her hair could be red, maybe, and her personality, she tries to be strong but is soft inside her heart." (Raya is really focused on Rion; her eyes are getting bigger and bigger.) "Wait, she—so you already have someone you like?" "Hm, no," (why was I describing her in a moment like this? What's gotten into me?) "I, as a fool, thought you were free. As far as this description you gave me, she looks like a tomboy." (Rion laughs and says she is the same as Raya says.) "OMG, so she is a real person. You gotta introduce me to her; I want to know her." (Rion sits on the ground and turns his back to Raya.) "I am going to sleep." "Oh, come on, wake up! You can't leave me in a cliffhanger here. At least tell me her name; I want to know more about her." (Rion doesn't respond and pretends to be asleep.)
