"Damn trash!" Muscular was about to catch the boy, but he was even faster than before. When he least expected it, he received a hard kick to the neck that sent him to the ground. Growling, he stood up, only to see the boy's feet coming toward his face.
"Wow!" Twice staggered as the ground shook when Muscular was crushed by the teenager, who fell on top of him and stepped on him with both feet, leaving a large crater from the impact. "That brat's gone crazy!" he yelled in panic as he ran toward the teenager and tried to stop him, but all he managed to do was get a fist slammed into his face and get thrown into a tree.
With a determined look, Deku dropped the masked villain, now avoiding the dozens of metal spears from Moonfish, who entered the scene. "Kill!" With fury and hunger, the strange being made his metal teeth grow and tried by all means to tear the green-haired boy to pieces.
Seeing what was coming, Deku knew that even with this speed, he wouldn't be able to dodge all the metal blades. Seeing that the other villains were knocked out behind him, he knew they would be killed by their own partner. "Smash!" Using his only remaining healthy arm, he pushed it to the limit and, without thinking, took a step forward.
A great surge of pressure destroyed all the metal blades. "Ahhhhhhh!" With a scream of agony, the villain felt his teeth being shattered, his suit destroyed, and his body crushed by the force of that final attack, which sent him flying backward to crash violently into the trees before finally falling defeated.
"..." With a tremor in his injured arm, Deku fell to his knees, spitting out the two marbles he had stolen from the villain. As they fell to the ground, they transformed into Kota and Ochako, who returned to normal.
"What happened...?" Confused, the brunette looked around. The last thing she remembered was running through the forest with Kota on her back. Then everything went blank. "Izuku!" But she snapped out of her thoughts when she saw her friend badly hurt and bleeding.
"Are you okay?" asked the green-haired teenager with a tired smile, struggling to breathe.
"You…" Kota looked around and saw the defeated villains. Unlike Uraraka, he remembered perfectly how a strange figure had fallen from the sky, done something strange, and captured them, and now he was seeing that same person lying defeated on the ground. "…you saved us." The boy found what he was seeing impossible. That person he had insulted and dismissed as useless had defeated four villains, all by himself.
"Yeah... it wasn't easy." Deku just smiled through the pain as Ochako tore her hoodie to make bandages to cover his two injured arms. It must be said that the brunette was desperate to help her best friend.
"Why did you do it?" The green-haired boy blinked in confusion when he saw Kota crying and looking at him angrily. "Why do you risk your life for others? I don't understand." The child, in his still immature mind, couldn't comprehend why this guy, whom he barely knew and had treated like trash since he arrived, had still risked his life for him. He had even insulted his dreams by calling them stupid.
"Because... it's the right thing to do." Smiling calmly, Izuku stood up with Ochako's help. "My dream is to help people with a big smile, because I want to be a great hero, the greatest hero of all time."
"A hero?" After years of ignoring his aunt and refusing to listen to her, Kota never thought she would be right, that he would one day find someone willing to risk his life to save his. He had finally met his hero.
...….
Fire, an element that, although one might think of it as only causing destruction, was also life itself—destroying so that something new, something better, could rise from the ashes. Right now, Taito Forest, known for being UA property and home to the training camp for aspiring heroes, was being consumed by flames. Undoubtedly a beautiful place, it was now burning, with strangely bluish flames clashing against reddish ones.
"You're persistent, I have to admit it," Dabi said, surrounded by blue flames. He was unaffected by the heat and lack of air; that was irrelevant at this particular moment, as before him stood a flustered and weary Shiori, breathing heavily and sweating from the intense heat of the fire surrounding her.
"..." Clenching her teeth, the two-toned-haired teenager raised her left hand and fired an intense burst of flame, which was countered by the bluish fire of her opponent.
"You only have half of a great ability, which doesn't compare to mine." Dabi didn't even show any effort as he fired an intense wave of fire from his hands, which easily crushed the teenager's attack. She had to raise a wall of ice to avoid being burned. "What's the point of having a power you're afraid to use?" Walking through the flames, Dabi reached the girl and kicked the ice shield, destroying it.
"Ahg…" With a dry throat and burning eyes, Shiori felt dizzy from inhaling so much smoke, and her pain intensified when she was grabbed by the hair and lifted by the villain, who simply threw her to the ground before giving her a hard kick in the center of her stomach, knocking the wind out of her.
"You're just like your father..." Frowning, Dabi walked over to the girl, grabbed her by the neck again, and lifted her up. Walking through the burning forest, he slowly moved away from the smoke and intense heat. "They think power is everything, that if you're not good enough, you're nothing." Once out of the burning forest, they reached a green meadow far from the trees.
"I'm not like him," Shiori growled, struggling to break free from her enemy's grip. Using her right hand, she was about to freeze the villain but stopped when she felt a sharp pain in her neck.
"You're the spitting image of Endeavour," the dark-haired villain said with a look that could be interpreted as a mixture of suspicion and annoyance. He covered his right hand in fire and pointed it at the teenager's face, while she glared back at him angrily. "You two are one—"
"Shut up!" Shiori's entire body glowed as her two Quirks came into action. On one side, her right side unleashed a blizzard of snow that froze everything within reach, and on the other, her left side glowed with intense flames that burned everything in their path. "Leave me alone!" With blind fury, the half-redhead created a strange fusion as ice stakes covered in fire flew toward a surprised Dabi, who was forced to retreat.
With a stifled scream, the villain endured the sharp ice stakes that cut several areas of his body; luckily, they were only superficial wounds. But what he couldn't withstand was the intense burst of fire, like a blast of hot air, which sent him flying before he fell in the distance, his clothes burning from the heat.
"Ahh... ahhh..." Breathing heavily, Shiori fell to her knees, her upper clothing badly damaged from the attack. The girl had lost much of her clothing during the last clash, which also caused a large cloud of steam that prevented her from seeing beyond the tip of her nose. Using her right arm, she covered herself, and with her left hand, she created a continuous flame to illuminate her path through the dark night. She had to leave and help her friends; there were surely more villains.
"Not bad..." The cloud of steam dispersed in a burst of fire, revealing a smiling Dabi pointing his flame-covered right hand directly at Shiori's face. She was paralyzed, not only in shock at seeing her enemy still standing, but also because she knew she couldn't defend herself now.
"Oka-san…" With the image of her mother filling her mind, she remembered the moments she had spent with her, as well as the brief moments she had shared with her siblings, especially her older sister. Closing her eyes, she could only regret not having spent more time with them. "Naruto…" Without being able to avoid it, the kiss the shinobi had given her on the forehead came to mind. Tonight had been a good night. Smiling faintly, she could only feel the warm embrace of the flames getting closer and closer to her face.
*Crack*
"..." The sound of something breaking was followed by Dabi's fall. With his eyes blank, he fell face-first onto the ground, unconscious. Shiori's eyes widened in confusion. The half-redhead saw nothing but a stick suspended in the air.
"Ha! In your fucking face!" The female voice belonged to someone Todoroki knew as she saw the stick being thrown to the ground. "You didn't see that coming... did you?" The invisible figure moved from side to side, celebrating her victory against the black-haired villain.
"Hagakure?" Shiori whispered as she heard the footsteps of her classmate, who now moved a few meters away behind some trees and then returned with clothes in her hands.
"Who else? Here, take my sweatshirt. I don't think walking around with your clothes torn apart would be to your liking," said the girl cheerfully, extending her garment to her friend. The still-surprised girl took it and put it on. The invisible girl also dressed, putting on her short white shorts and a pink T-shirt. "It was lucky I saw that explosion of fire. I was just heading to the campsite, and well, I had to help you!" squealed the now-dressed teenager with her characteristic joy.
"Thank you..." Sincerely thanking her classmate for her help, Shiori put on the hooded sweatshirt, only to see that it had a drawing from a well-known American series, 'My Little Pony'—more precisely, the pink pony drawn on the front of the sweatshirt. "..." With a blank stare, the redhead said nothing about it, as she was torn between wearing this or walking around topless.
"Something wrong?"
"No…"
Without further ado, the two teenagers walked away from the unconscious Dabi and headed toward the camp.
...
The entire forest rumbled as a giant lightning bolt struck, from which emerged two silhouettes: Kakuzu and Hidan. They landed in front of the crater left by the lightning, where, among the rising dust, a serious Naruto emerged and walked forward until he came out of the crater, stopping only a few steps away from the two members of Akatsuki.
"You shouldn't have come." The teenager's Sharingan flashed menacingly, focused on his two former 'comrades,' if he could even call them that. "I thought Pain already made it clear he didn't want someone like me in Akatsuki."
"Do you really think you could be part of Akatsuki and just leave whenever you wanted?" Hidan asked mockingly, eager to rip Uzumaki's head off.
"I'm surprised you survived that encounter against our leader. He underestimated you..." Narrowing his eyes, Kakuzu looked analytically at the former Leaf shinobi.
"Many try it, but few live to tell the tale," Naruto said, bringing his hands together to form a long series of hand seals, ending with his right palm striking the ground. Suddenly, a circle two hundred square meters wide formed around the three shinobi, and the two Akatsuki members watched as a purple barrier rose like a dome, trapping them inside with the teenager. "Ninja Art: Midnight Barrier," he said.
At the edge of the barrier were several pieces of paper that formed the purple dome created by the teenager, who stood up with a sigh.
"An A-rank Fūinjutsu, worthy of an Uzumaki like you," Kakuzu commented with some annoyance, looking at the barrier around him. "It seems there's no other way out than killing the one who summoned the barrier. At least you saved us the trouble of having to hunt you down..." Kakuzu's body trembled as three masks emerged from it. With a stern look, the Akatsuki treasurer was ready to finish off the former member of his group.
"This will be fun..." Smiling eagerly, Hidan was keen to fight the Uzumaki. "We'll finish what we started so many years ago, don't you think?"
"..." With a dark look, Naruto tore off what was left of his jacket. "Your last mistake will be coming to find me." With his Sharingan shining intensely, the Uzumaki was determined to finish off the pair of immortals once and for all.
