Xu Xing didn't consider himself so petty as to bear a grudge solely because of a decision made by 15th Master Ding Feng years ago. However, grudge or no grudge, Xu Xing wouldn't show Ding Feng much courtesy. He had previously accepted this Chang Ge magic treasure because "an elder's gift cannot be refused." Now that he had achieved the status of a Free Immortal, he no longer needed to act according to Ding Feng's expressions. Returning the Chang Ge magic treasure signified his refusal to acknowledge Ding Feng's past, insincere favor.
Nascent Soul Treasures weren't particularly precious in the Jing'an Ding Family. At least, back then, they weren't precious to a Free Immortal Disciple like Xu Xing.
