What constitutes a grand event?
The only five companies in Central Lake Village all participated, key leaders from the district and city, and public security system leaders attended. Even leaders from the Health System felt that Du Heng was giving them face and came to attend the event to help Du Heng gain prestige.
Simultaneously, the Health Clinic felt honored and notified all village doctors to participate. However, Du Heng thought Qiu Pingzhen might be brown-nosing a little more.
Finally, there were the ten students needing assistance, along with their parents, that Dong Yuezhang had confirmed to attend.
The money was spent on appearances.
After the event ended, Du Heng received compliments from his father-in-law and an invitation from his father-in-law for a meal together.
If there was a place in the event that was unsatisfactory, it was that the brother-in-law wasn't very pleased.
