Scott Harris's behavior was so unusual that Enna Clark would have found it strange not to notice it at all.
She frowned slightly, still trying to figure it out, when her wrist was firmly seized by someone.
"Baron Lawrence?"
The proud man's eagle-like eyes locked onto her, hoarsely asking, "You want me to take the medication?"
Enna Clark was baffled by his question, "Why wouldn't you take medicine if you have a fever?"
"So you want me to take it?" He seemed particularly concerned about this, emphasizing his tone, and asked again.
Enna thought he didn't want to take it and nodded seriously, "Yes, I want you to take it."
"If I wanted you to take it, would you?"
Reflected in Baron Lawrence's pupils was her image. Not a single eyebrow moved on his handsome, sculpted face as he resolutely answered, "I would!"
If he hadn't answered so seriously, Enna wouldn't have thought anything of it.
But his immediate, serious response made Enna feel as if she was about to feed him poison.
