The man rudely picked up a pastry and stuffed it into her mouth.
Aldana Candi almost choked to death, coughing so hard it seemed to shake the heavens, and it took a while for her to recover.
"Are you trying to kill someone?" she was almost furious, "How can there be such a bastard like you..." She sniffled, feeling a bit upset inside, and quickly shifted her focus, lowering her head to pick up a small pastry and started eating it.
The pastry suited her taste, and she even tasted a sweet osmanthus fragrance in it. This flavor made her unable to help but think of someone.
"Philip Shaw..." she murmured, how are you now? Are you feeling better, are you thinking of her, have you come looking for her...
Her heart ached with thoughts.
The sweet osmanthus flavor in her mouth seemed to turn bitter. She put the pastry back, unable to swallow it anymore.
"I can't eat anymore," she said softly, somewhat lost and forlorn.
