An unspoken thrill pierced through her Chest, leaving her momentarily stupefied.
She stared blankly, watching him, as if she had never known the person before her.
A trace of astonishment and shock lingered in her Eyes!
From childhood to adulthood, she's always loved sticking to him. He was aloof and abstinent, while she would find ways to tease him until he gritted his teeth and threatened her fiercely, saying if she didn't behave, he would devour her.
Back then she didn't understand what "devour" meant, thinking that he cherished her too much to really eat her, so she would tease him even more excessively…
Later she understood what "devour" meant, yet she remained unafraid.
In her heart, even before she was born, she was already his daughter-in-law, a done deal.
She never cared what others thought, she simply adored him, loving nothing more than to hold him and domineeringly proclaim her sovereignty.
