He laughed discreetly.
"It's unlikely that anyone will want to compete with me? We're here on an excursion. The new princess Luanlia wants to see the high grade society. You don't mind, do you?"
Excited sighs ran through the rows, and many hands blew kisses.
Zarmina meticulously examined Luanlia, who was looking around in confusion.
"Very nice, my dear! A very brave act for a new girl to appear in front of the vamps. Nightmares are guaranteed for you."
Zarmina leaned against Rohen and whispered in his ear in a dissatisfied tone:
"And you said that you were monogamous! Unpleasant! I come to you with all my heart, but you rejected me. What if I now declare you chosen? How will you dodge?"
"You cannot choose the Lord, besides, I already have a minor son, and there are so many here who want to become fathers. I could quickly choose your ideal chosen one without any competitions. You will be very pleased with him and happy to heaven."
"Ok, then!" Zarmina grinned, looking along the numerous rows. -"Surprise me!"
Rohen walked slowly past the syrinxes lined up on both sides, intrigued by the fact that their Lord himself was looking for a chosen one for the capricious princess. Everyone knew about the incredible insight of the Phoenix, seeing through any soul, and no one dared to doubt that among two thousand he would quickly find the most worthy.
"Tarmio!" Rohen suddenly shouted loudly as he walked back down the aisle towards the princess. "Come to us!"
Someone came out from the right lane and resolutely walked after Rohen.
"Here is your chosen one!" The Lord stated confidently and turned to look at the approaching man.
The pink-eyed, strong-built ash-color blond looked at both princesses with excitement.
A shadow passed over Zarmina's face. She was clearly dissatisfied with the Lord's choice, and, frowning, stepped aside with him for a private conversation.
"This is Tremiroiz's son! None of us want to have a relationship with the offspring's of the Archons. I'm not happy with your choice. He has a terrible person and those unbearable bright pink eyes. He's not even my type."
Rohen looked carefully at Tarmio, who was looking at Zarmina with undisguised lust.
"Trust me, he suits you best. Passionate and hot, just like you love," the Lord whispered.
"Oh, and how do you know what I like?" Zarmina blinked her eyes in embarrassment. "I don't even know myself."
"I selected him according to your temperament, and you can see for yourself how he longs to be alone with you. So what if he is the son of the Ruler? He was brought up in a lyceum, he hardly saw his father."
"How about a date with you?"
Rohen grinned and replied:
"I don't think you'll like me after Tarmio."
The princess snorted indignantly:
"Don't make up excuses, you won't get away with it, since you came here with your mistress. Cheater! You said that was faithful to your wife."
Rohen noticed that Tarmio was already in full communication with Luanlia, who was throwing desperate glances about salvation.
The Archon's son couldn't miss the chance to exchange words with the new princess as he stood nearby.
"I know your energy!" He whispered insinuatingly, approaching slightly.
Luanlia turned around. Tarmio, exalted by his luck, was standing almost next to her, his eyes sparkling and shamelessly examining her, smiling mockingly, and she was so uncomfortable without Rohen's support to be in the hall under the gaze of thousands of men eagerly wanting to communicate with her.
"Don't remember me, amorous?" Continued Tarmio with a flaming gaze.
She smiled tightly and answered:
"There were a lot of you, I can't remember them all."
"But I recall how I fought for you and died. Under the mask you are as beautiful as when you were mortal. How I loved you! And what an amazing meeting after thousands of years. Now you are a winged syrinx again!"
Luanlia shuddered at his words, memorising her recent insights about her past lives.
"Well, I'm sorry it happened like this," she said reluctantly.
"It's okay! Being reborn is not a problem for me, I remember everything. You were my mother twice more. I'm so glad to feel your lovely vibes again."
Luanlia looked at the enthusiastic Tarmio in confusion, not knowing what to answer.
"You were lucky this time with your patrons, sweetie, now we can't get close to you. The right decision is to move to another planet, away from the Rulers and from us. It's a pity that I wasn't the first to find you, Adivaris, as always, bypassed everyone."
Phoenix quickly approached them, noticing Luanlia's tense face.
"Tarmio!" Rohen said loudly, piercing the guy with his gaze. "I cancel the competition and appoint you as the chosen one of Princess Zarmina from this day on, by my opinion, as the most suitable one. Good luck!"
He hurriedly grabbed Luanlia and disappeared with her amid everyone's frustrated sighs.
The new princess created a sensation among the nobility with her attractive energy, but her inaccessibility was discouraging. Everyone understood what the powerful magicians patronized her. The aristocrats had long known about her initiation, and no one could imagine that there would be an opportunity to see this beauty in reality, albeit in a mask.
Luanlia trembled slightly from her experience in Rohen's arms after moving to Azaren's palace.
"What scared you so much?" He chuckled. "Desperate glances of aristocrats or an ardent young chosen one?"
"This Tarmio remembers everything about me! He even knows where and with whom I live! It was ready to swallow me. What a nightmare! How is it that I met him by chance?"
