Paige Desmond knew that Kiya was the type who wouldn't stop until he reached his goal. Saying "no" would be useless, so she simply went along with him.
The car drove toward the Old Town District.
The Old Town District had many buildings from the time of the Republic of Orienta, blending the architectural styles of Orienta-Avrupa. The roads were lined with towering trees; although it was winter and there were no green leaves, one could easily imagine this place in summer, with lush green canopies.
"Where are you taking me?"
"You're so impatient. You'll know when we get there," Kiya said, teasingly.
"Kiya, I've found that sometimes you're unbelievably childish."
"You used to say that I was too serious and rigid."
The car slowly entered a wide avenue flanked by old-fashioned townhouses with a sense of historical charm.
Gavin slowed down the car and gently drove into a courtyard.
"Sultan, we have arrived."
Kiya said to Paige Desmond, "We're here, get out of the car."
