Days went by of me feeling like I'm trapped in my own body, but things started to get better. After some weeks I could finally see clearly, the world did not look like how I remember. I got to see my mother clearly for the first time. Beautiful face and long black hair and black ears on top of that hair, wait black ears. I blinks a couple of times and rubbed my eye to be sure I was seeing things right and they stayed the same. No no, I stretched out my little hand while she lifted me out of the cot, I touched her face and it's real. She smiled warmly at my touch and I tried to reach her ears but they are too far. I laughed at the implications of this, which came out as a giggle. I could see a flicker of surprise and joy in her eyes, this was probably the first time she heard me laugh.
So this might a fantasy world, great I hope I can use magic or something myself or I'm screwed. Looks like I'm in a commoner family since I haven't seen or heard a maid around here. That's a loss on my part but I'll figure something out, let's just hope is a rather peaceful world, I don't wanna die before I can enjoy this new life of mine. Time went by and finally got to meet my father too. A beast-kin with brown hair, ears and a scar on his right cheek. I also a look at myself, I was surprised by the patches of thick fur on my arms and legs around my wrist and ankles, I also only 4 toes on my feet and so did my parents. I have black hair that fades out to brown and hetero chromatic eyes, the left one is brown while the right is black. Dam the cat genetics are strong here I even have a tail.
Years passed and now I'm four, I have already learned all the basics of the language, I can finally read and write. Gotta love the flexibility of you minds, though my parents were surprised at my intelligence at such a young age.
It's been nice living with my new family, my family owns an inn. Though they don't work there regularly except for my father who runs the bar in there. Once I got older my mother would also go there when it was too busy for the employees to handle alone. I also learned that both my parents are adventures who are on break to raise me and also why they brought the inn.
Well at least they took it well as me just being a genius and not possessed. Though am I possessing this body, nah I was born with it, it's mine. I've spent most of my days reading and just playing around to keep my body strong. I think I can start with some light training now, this body is way better than my old one. But first I wanted to find out what this world is like and how the magic system and power system is centred. So I started begging my mom for these books.
Today I finally got my books after pestering my mom for days she brought me books on this story and all.
I took the history book first, this one was the history of the current era which started 12 thousand years ago. With this being 1237EM. This era started with a cease fire between the demonic faction and the other races after years of brutal war. This world being contested for by the two groups which has led to it being divided. The Northen part is held by the union of the other races. While the demons have the south which has two continents the biggest one being their home and farthest from the others . During the war he united races managed to push them and their allies into these two continents and they have been there for some time.
As I kept on reading the history I was hit with feeling of déjà vu especially as I learned of the current affairs of the world. The last pin to was when I learned this world is called Amadrala, shit this is the same world as that novel I was reading. I wanted to double check so I moved on to the kingdoms and their rules and everything matched.
Now I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, bad new this world isn't as peaceful as it seems and it's about to get worse in the future. Good news though, I have knowledge I can use to my advantage and the commoners aren't so supressed here because of the treat of demons. They keep their cannon fodder strong, and I know how to get stronger in theory as well as some of the nobbles methods. With both my parents having awakened their powers I am guaranteed to be mage unless I'm extremely unlucky.
I ran off to grab a clean book and a pen and started writing down all the events that happen in the story that I still remember. Then the major characters and one's with potential and places to find opportunities and treasures. Once that was done I started to make plans around them. there is no character like this mentioned in the story as far as I read it, so I'm either worse than an extra or have some screen time in the future. Well it doesn't matter I'm taking over now, I will lie my life to the fullest here even if it kills me. I'll do what I want when I want and for that I need power. I should also build an organisation to do somethings for me, so wanna play around and command from the shadows like Leleuch. That would have been easier if I was noble and had daddy's money, but I'm a commoner.
Then fist I need to find talented and loyal people to form the foundation of it, I can find the overlook commoners I still remember from the story. They are from different kingdoms, no that's not possible for me, I can find some now then I'll recruit others in the academy I have to get there. First I'll ned a lot f money for resources and to motivate my group.
A business chain will do well to found it and then it'll also work as an information network, I get taverns, inns, restaurants and brothels places where lips get loose. I will mix workers and agents in these places then I will also have to buy out maids and other servants in noble houses to catch the news from them as well. Transmitting and storing information will be troublesome though. I will need bases to keep some of it but copies as well as decoys, MTD's will do well if I can have each base have one and higher ups also need them, then I'll hire others to record the important information apart from the noise.
That means I need to get someone to train the on how of extract information and tell valuable intel from noise, who's a character that can do that? Oh right that underground group, if I can take over them or buy out a few of their members for this then 'll be good. I remember there is a mention of one of their top brass has a sibling who gets helped by Leon and then he goes out to provide him info when he needs it. I should get to him first but I'll needed to go to the mm kingdom for this. Wrote down all my base plans but they all had two problems.
1, they needed money to be put through, money I did not have, and secondly I need power to do these things. I need to start working on these fast, especially on making money. I need a quick money making way, adventuring won't do well enough but I should invest in a few groups like that. I'll need to go with banditry but it's too risky, know I'll figure this out in time. I closed the book and took a deep breath.
