Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 130 - Status update
When Cias touched the handle to the door and opened it. A room appeared on the inside, much bigger than what it appeared to look like on the outside. Apollo smiled ,"Well I guess it's fine after all!" Apollo pulled out his phone ,"Apparently this is an alternate space, basically the door is just an ornament but it makes sure that multiple people don't go out of the same door at the same time." Cias thought (Creating an alternate space just for a single room seems a bit excessive… but then again with the sheer amount of people that reside on this highway, it seems logical I suppose). There were 4 beds, a kitchen and a bathroom. They each decided on which bed they were going to sleep on.
As Apollo sat in his bed, he slowly started to understand what exactly he saw when he glanced at the true inner workings of the nexus. He understood that his soul was just a part of a greater whole, as if his story was important for what reality meant for everyone. But not just him, but every single soul. But this knowledge was already known by Cias, who had a direct connection to another soul. Cias's depth of knowledge over reality was much greater than his, thus, he had to train.
Apollo summoned Akarui and observed it in its entirety, the soulsteel that made it was glistening not only with a magnificent shine but also the shine of his own soul. Glancing at it was like taking a look at himself. He focused on sending this new dimension of energy through his body. Having a lot of experience with control helped a lot in this case. This feeling of it being more grand but smaller was still apparent to him. He got up and balanced on his hands, going down slowly and pushing up slowly. His muscles needed training but they still felt decently strong. It seemed that his physical body evolved in a way but all the strength he garnered needed to be honed once again on a new level. Feeling his muscles become sore he filled them with energy to relieve the damage and pain with Recovery.
After about 30 minutes of handstand pushups whilst increasing the gravity of his clothing, he noticed something especially unique (My body seems to be responding a lot faster than what it was the first time I started training even though I felt about the same). Just by doing 30 minutes of working out his arms, he estimated that his strength increased by 50%. Apollo thought (What's it going to be like when my ki reserves are up and I can train for hours again?!? I knew that by increasing your power could grow that much more at an exponential level, but this is insane, is this the true benefit of unification?). He was reminded of some of the games he played when you finished the game and got to play again with all the abilities. Apollo realized that he was the character in those games now and with accelerated growth due to unification, the refined techniques of training and his previous experience in battle, he would become strong fast.
Before he got into bed, he called everyone over ,"I know it's pretty soon, but we all want to get strong, so I think we should apply to the military tomorrow." Cias, Devan and Noah looked at each other and nodded. Apollo realized how far he was away from being strong enough to stand without faltering in front of that man he saw with the voided cloak. The fear he experienced made his very soul shiver, as if his existence itself was terrified of this being. He couldn't stand by any longer and wait, he needed to start training again, he needed to be strong enough to kill that man. He knew that his visit with him was not far away and he needed to prepare for their "conversation". He had a hard time getting sleep because every single time he thought of that man, his adrenaline would spike. Eventually though, his body calmed down and allowed him to sleep.
