Adam still cannot believe the words coming out of Renee's mouth.
She wants him to participate in illegal street racing so that he can help her catch the master mind behind it all.
How can it get any more absurd than this? After all, in the public's eyes, he is just a teenager who just turned eighteen a few months ago.
For Renee to come here and ask him to participate in such a dangerous thing, risking his life for a police woman he barely knows, she can only be considered crazy.
"What if I refuse?" Adam asks. After all, it's a valid question. He has no idea what he is getting involved in. Since this is an illegal activity that clearly has some kind of organization, it is bound to be dangerous, given all the money involved.
Entering it is entering a hungry lion's den. Once again proving how stupid an idea it is to get Adam involved.
"You can't. If you do, I will arrest you and make sure you get the maximum punishment possible," Renee says.
