[Some days later]
I tugged on my veil as I glanced out at the raging sandstorm as our wagon headed south. We were closing in on the border with Taahid. Hopefully, they would let us pass.
Amaya hummed as she gazed out too. Her son Raiki slept against her shoulder. We had met up in the town prior. She had told me about the instruments that she and Kazuo had dug up when looking over her late husband's stuff. The instruments had been used by Raikū to detect weak point between this world and The Abyss. Kazuo was running maintenence on them, but he did think that they were too small to detect all the possible entry points in Kuroriku, let alone in all of our planet and the rest of Zionia.
Hopefully, we would have more luck when we encountered the Taeyang, assuming we could track them down.
