Chapter 35 - Chapter 35:Mawwood Realm

The morning began like any other. Keisha walked through the school gates, her bag heavy with books, her bracelet cool against her wrist. The air smelled faintly of chalk and damp grass, the kind of ordinary scent that promised nothing unusual.

But the moment she stepped into the courtyard, she knew something was wrong.

The benches were empty. The chatter of students was muted, scattered. And the four people she always looked for - Equestria, Tori, Matilda, and Zenid - were nowhere to be seen.

She frowned, scanning the crowd. "Where are they?" she muttered.

A younger student shrugged nervously. "Didn't you hear? They were… taken."

Keisha's stomach dropped. "Taken?"

The girl nodded, eyes wide. "The Mawwood. They were practicing a spell in the east wing. The floor cracked open. Shadows pulled them in. No one could stop it."

Keisha's breath caught. The Mawwood. Again.

That was a student from her magic class...

She ran to the east wing, her shoes slapping against the stone floor. The classroom was wrecked... books scattered, chalk dust smeared across the walls, and a jagged tear in the ground that pulsed faintly, like a wound refusing to close.

Her bracelet burned. Illario's presence stirred, restless.

She knelt beside the crack, touching the edge. It was warm, alive. She could almost hear whispers rising from it - voices that sounded like her friends, calling faintly, begging.

"Equestria?" she whispered. "Tori? Matilda? Zenid?"

The whispers grew louder, then faded into silence.

Keisha clenched her fists. "I'm not losing them. Not like this."

A voice behind her said, "You won't have to fight alone."

Keisha spun around.

There she was - the blonde-haired girl from the early days, the one who had vanished after the first trials. Her hair was shorter now, cropped to her shoulders, but her eyes were the same piercing blue. She wore a cloak of pale silver, embroidered with runes that shimmered faintly.

"You," Keisha breathed. "I thought you were gone."

"I was," the girl said. "But the Mawwood doesn't let go easily. It tried to keep me. I escaped. And now I'm here to help you."

Keisha's heart raced. Relief mingled with suspicion. "Why now?"

"Because it's not just your friends. The Mawwood is growing stronger. It's reaching into places it shouldn't. And if we don't act, it will consume the school."

"how do you know all that?"

As they were talking, they saw shadows in the corridor, cloaked figures emerged - their faces hidden, their movements deliberate. At their center was the headmistress, her cloak lined with crimson, her staff carved from blackwood.

"Keisha," she said, her voice smooth but cold. "You've arrived just in time."

Keisha frowned. "Where are they? My friends?"

The headmistress tilted her head. "Taken. The Mawwood claimed them. And now, it claims you."

The headmistress signaled the cloaked figures to approach Keisha...

The cloaked figures closed in, forming a circle around her. Their chant began - low, guttural, vibrating through the walls. The crack in the floor widened, glowing brighter.

Keisha's heart pounded. "You're not here to save them. You're here to feed it."

The headmistress smiled faintly. "You're clever. That will make the Mawwood enjoy you more."

Before Keisha could react, a voice cut through the chanting.

"Not today."

The blonde-haired girl stepped from the doorway, silver cloak shimmering, blade drawn. Her eyes were fierce, her stance unyielding.

"You tried to take me once," she said to the headmistress. "But I escaped. And I won't let you take her."

The headmistress's smile faltered. "You should have stayed gone. How did you even escape when I stopped magic you were locked out of this land"

"turns out you not that clever than the ones that hold magic"

The chanting of the cloaked figures grew louder, stopping the arguments. The crack split open.

Mawwood ""

The floor collapsed beneath them. Keisha, the blonde girl, the headmistress, and the cloaked figures were pulled into the Mawwood.

The world twisted.

They landed on soil that pulsed like flesh, damp and cold. The air was thick with mist, glowing faintly green. Towering structures loomed - not trees, but spires of bone and crystal, humming with alien energy.

And then she saw them.

The creatures.

They were not shadows. They were alien horrors - tall, insectoid beings with translucent skin, their veins glowing blue. Their faces were split into mandibles that clicked and hissed. Their limbs bent wrong, jointed like broken glass. They moved in jerks, their bodies shimmering as if half-phased between worlds.

Keisha's stomach turned. "What are they?"

The blonde girl whispered, "Mawwood's children. They don't belong here. Or anywhere."

As if alarmed the creatures surged forward, mandibles snapping. The cloaked figures raised their hands, chanting louder, their bodies glowing faintly. But instead of fighting the creatures, they directed them - guiding them toward Keisha.

The headmistress lifted her staff. "Take her."

Keisha stumbled back, heart racing.

Her bracelet flared. Illario's presence roared through her veins. Without her asking, he erupted - a surge of energy blasting from the bracelet, striking the nearest creature. Its body convulsed, glowing veins bursting, before it collapsed in a heap of twitching limbs.

Keisha gasped. "Illario…"

The people around her looked confused...she does not hold sny magic how is she able to protect herself...

The blast caused mist to rise where they were standing... And through the mist, she saw them... Equestria, Tori, Matilda, and Zenid. They were trapped inside crystalline pods, suspended from the spires. Their faces were pale, their eyes closed, their bodies limp.

Keisha ran toward them, but the creatures swarmed, blocking her path.

Illario fought without hesitation. The bracelet burned, unleashing blasts of raw energy that tore through the alien horrors. Each strike was instinctive, primal, fueled by his jealousy and rage.

But for every creature that fell, two more emerged, clicking and hissing, their mandibles dripping with glowing ichor.

The blonde girl fought at her side, blade slicing through limbs, cloak shimmering with protective runes. "We can't reach them yet! We need to break the spires first!"

Keisha's chest tightened. "Then let's do it."

As they were trying so hard to break the spires the headmistress raised her staff, which was really not helping at the moment... chanting in a language that made Keisha's skin crawl. The spires pulsed, glowing brighter. The pods lifted higher, out of reach.

"You'll never free them," she said. "They belong to the Mawwood now. And soon, so will you."

Honestly why are these creatures not attacking her...she's clearly eager for the fight...

Keisha's bracelet flared again. Illario's energy surged, striking the headmistress's staff. It cracked, splintering, the crimson thread unraveling.

The headmistress screamed, her cloak burning at the edges. "You dare defy me?"

Illario's voice growled in Keisha's mind: I will tear her apart.

Totally agitated... She was gettin on everyone's nerves..they're in a tragic situation and there she is trying to act villain.. Attacking instead of teaming up..

Sigh!

The creatures swarmed again, faster, more vicious. Their limbs lashed out, slicing through the air. One struck Keisha's shoulder, sending her sprawling. The bracelet flared, blasting it back, but the pain burned deep.

The blonde girl pulled her up. "Stay with me!"

Keisha gritted her teeth. "I'm not leaving them."

They fought their way toward the spires, each step a battle. The ground pulsed beneath them, veins glowing brighter, feeding the creatures.

Illario's energy surged again, striking the spires directly. Cracks spread across the crystalline structures, shards falling. The pods trembled, lowering slightly.

The battlefield convulsed as every side collided - alien creatures shrieked with glass‑like mandibles, their limbs slicing through the fog in jagged arcs; the cloaked headmistress hurled crimson bolts that cracked the ground and drove the horrors toward Keisha

; Illario surged unbidden through the bracelet, a torrent of blinding energy that ripped through insectoid wings and shattered crystalline spires; the blonde girl spun in silver flashes,

her blade carving ichor trails as she shielded Keisha's flank; the cloaked figures chanted in discordant unison, weaving barriers that bent and twisted like cages

; and Keisha, heart hammering, fought to drag her friends free while the Mawwood pulsed around them, every strike echoing like thunder,

every scream swallowed by the alien realm's hunger... a storm of magic, fury, and survival where no blow came without cost.

Keisha reached out, fingers brushing against Zenid's pod. "Hold on!"

But the creatures lunged, dragging her back.

Illario roared through the bracelet, unleashing a wave of energy so powerful it shattered half the spires. The pods dropped, crashing to the ground.

Equestria stirred, eyes fluttering open. "Keisha…"

Keisha gasped. "You're alive!"

But the headmistress screamed, summoning more creatures. The ground split, and larger horrors emerged - towering, insectoid beasts with wings that shimmered like glass, their mandibles dripping with glowing ichor.

The blonde girl's blade flashed. "We can't fight them all!"

Keisha clenched her fists. "We don't have to. We just have to get them out."

Illario's energy surged one final time, blasting a path through the creatures. The blonde girl grabbed Matilda, pulling her free. Keisha dragged Zenid and Tori, their bodies weak but alive. Equestria stumbled beside her, clutching her arm.

The headmistress shrieked, her cloak burning, her staff shattered. "You will regret this, Keisha! The Mawwood will never let you go!"

Keisha glared at her. "Then it will have to fight harder."

The blonde girl raised her blade, striking the ground. A portal shimmered open, glowing faintly.

"Go!" she shouted.

But we can't leave you here... At least not this time around you won't make it alive " keisha said

" i will that portal can't handle all of us... I'll open another one.. Meet you on the other side "

With teary eyes... Keisha said" Meet you on the other side blonde "causing the girl with blonde hair to chuckle...

Keisha pulled her friends through the portal , the bracelet burning, Illario's energy shielding them. The creatures shrieked, clawing at the edges, but the portal snapped shut. .
