"What are instant noodles?" Daisy asked in astonishment, staring at the items on the table. "Do you just eat them directly like this?"
"No, instant noodles need to be brewed with boiling water. They are ready to eat after soaking for 5 minutes," Dahlia explained softly.
"Go, fetch some boiling water." Roberson ordered a maid to go get some boiling water. He was now deeply curious about everything from Sedona City.
He was even more eager to try these so-called instant noodles to see if they were as delicious as the canned food. After eating the canned food, just recalling the boiled salted meat he used to eat made everything seem utterly flavorless, even slightly nauseating.
"You can try the biscotti first." Dahlia opened the wrapper of the biscotti in front of her. The so-called biscotti were actually biscuits.
Crunch...
Filled with curiosity and anticipation, Daisy and Roberson each picked up a biscuit. After taking a bite, neither of them could stop.
"So crispy, so fragrant," Roberson marveled, continuously stuffing biscuits into his open mouth.
"Delicious, I love this one." Daisy held a biscuit in each hand.
This time, Alan didn't even get a chance to taste-test them. In just a few bites, the two of them completely demolished the plate of biscuits, once again leaving not a single crumb behind.
Only after they finished did the two realize they had lost their composure again. But it couldn't be helped; in the face of such delicacies, no one could resist the temptation.
"Ahem, ahem..." Roberson awkwardly wiped the crumbs from the corners of his mouth.
"Pardon our lack of manners," Daisy said, her face flushing red.
Tramp, tramp, tramp...
Soon, the maid brought the boiling water up.
Dahlia skillfully opened the paper wrapping of the instant noodles and placed the noodle block into a bowl. She then opened the smaller seasoning packet, pouring the salt and spice powder inside and finally the two dehydrated vegetable flakes. She poured in the boiling water and covered the bowl with a lid.
The powder was ground from spices and contained a bit of salt.
Daisy and Roberson waited eagerly, their eyes glued to the bowl. As soon as 5 minutes passed, the maid lifted the lid, and the unique aroma of instant noodles wafted out. Unable to hold back any longer, the two picked up their forks and began to eat.
Slurp, slurp...
Bite after bite, they couldn't stop at all. In the end, they didn't even spare the broth, drinking it completely dry.
Phew... Both of them exhaled deeply at the same time. After that fierce eating session, coupled with the naturally shorter stature of dwarves, their stomachs were completely stuffed.
"I really want to take a trip to your Sedona City now, just to see exactly what kind of place it is to have so many delicacies and miraculous things," Roberson sighed deeply with emotion.
"Father, I want to go see it too." Daisy's eyes filled with yearning. She heard there were also things like pizzas and meat buns over there—things that the Deepstone Dwarf Kingdom didn't have, and things she had never even heard of.
"Sedona City is absolutely worth a visit. Perhaps after you go, you'll find that it's even more miraculous than I described." Dahlia's face was brimming with confidence. She had no doubts about Sedona City's ability to attract people; it was the kind of place that made people never want to leave.
"Oh, right, Princess Daisy, I have a few items here that you might find useful." Dahlia suddenly remembered something. She took out a small box from the larger chest. Upon opening it, it contained a box of lip paper, a box of eyebrow pomade, a box of rouge, and a glass bottle of perfume.
"What are these?" Daisy asked curiously.
When she went to the West District market last time, all her attention had been focused on the Whispering Dawn, so she had overlooked many things, such as this four-piece makeup set.
"This is lip paper; it can make your lips look sexy and charming. This is eyebrow pomade; drawing it on your eyebrows makes their shape more defined. And this is rouge; applying it to your face can cover up freckles and pores." As Dahlia spoke, she demonstrated by applying them to Mira's face.
Watching Dahlia's demonstration, Daisy's face gradually broke into an expression of excited joy. These were exactly what she needed, especially since the freckles on her face were her biggest source of distress.
But things were different now. With the rouge, she could become beautiful.
"Thank you, I need these things so much!" Daisy said excitedly, holding the three items in her hands, her face blossoming with a massive smile.
With these, she would look even more perfect in front of Muller.
"And this is perfume. It has a shelf life of one year." Dahlia handed the final item, the perfume, to Daisy.
"The perfume's shelf life is actually a whole year!" Daisy cried out in disbelief. She knew about perfumes, but the perfumes she knew of had very short shelf lives.
"It smells so good, like a faint floral scent." Daisy poured a drop onto her hand and was amazed yet again. Her yearning for Sedona City grew even stronger.
"I wonder what Your Majesty thinks about the iron ore export..." Dahlia looked at Roberson. She knew the time was ripe; all her previous preparations were aimed entirely at the iron ore export.
First, she lured him with fine food, then revealed the miraculous aspects of Sedona City, and finally won over Daisy with cosmetics, ensuring her heart was fully inclined toward Sedona City. The rest would be much simpler.
"I heard your Sedona City has wheat, rice, and large quantities of linen?" Roberson pondered for a moment before asking.
"Yes, Sedona City has all of those things, and in large amounts. As for linen, it's divided into several different qualities. The piece I gave Princess Daisy yesterday can only be considered average." Dahlia had already guessed Roberson's intentions.
"If you are willing to sell us linen and wheat at a low price, then we can export iron ore to your Sedona City," Roberson said without changing his expression, though his heart was hanging high in suspense.
"Regarding selling wheat and linen at a low price... We need to discuss this among ourselves. Please wait a moment, Your Majesty." Dahlia frowned. Even if she could agree immediately, she still had to put on a conflicted expression.
This was a negotiation art she had learned from the books Lucas had given her.
"You may," Roberson said in a deep voice.
Tramp, tramp, tramp...
Dahlia shot a glance at Elisa and Mira. The three women went to the adjacent room. Once the door was closed, they could no longer suppress the joy on their faces, breaking into wide, silent smiles.
"That's wonderful! We're finally going to succeed! Dahlia, you really are amazing," Mira cheered softly, looking at Dahlia with eyes full of admiration.
"We're finally about to complete the mission. Dahlia, this is all your credit," Elisa said with a smile. She had to admire Dahlia's business acumen.
"Phew... It's all thanks to Lord Lucas's excellent teachings." Dahlia also breathed a sigh of relief, a massive weight lifting off her heart.
As for selling wheat and linen at a low price, Lucas had already told her before she left that as long as they could secure the iron ore export, selling slightly below market price was absolutely fine.
Based on her understanding of the Deepstone Dwarf Kingdom's market over the past few days, there was still plenty of profit to be made, even if it was hard-earned money.
The primary reason was simply that the food sold by the Maner Principality was exorbitantly expensive.
The three women stayed in the room for a good while before finally calming the joy in their hearts. The final step—signing the contract—hadn't been reached yet, so they couldn't afford to lower their guard.
"Let's go. We should head out." Dahlia wiped the smile off her face. Ensuring no flaws could be seen, she opened the door and walked out.
