Every attacker turned.
A blur passed by.
One of the attackers collapsed out of nowhere, hitting the dirt with a dull thud. Another spun sideways, struck by a kick so fast Xia Lihua barely registered the movement. Two more were lifted off their feet as if yanked by an invisible force and thrown into each other.
"What the—?" Xia Lihua gasped.
A figure stepped through the falling bodies.
Quan Kunjie.
His expression was cold—too cold—and his movements were unnervingly fluid, almost silent. His fists were steady, controlled, the strikes sharp enough to drop a man in a single blow.
One attacker swung a metal rod at him.
Quan Kunjie didn't even flinch.
He ducked, drove his knee into the man's ribs, and followed with a lightning-fast uppercut that snapped the man's head back.
Another man lunged from behind.
