Miles, "Are you serious, right now?"
Glenn, "Both of you?"
Sam, "Afraid so! The Allspark has been wanting to go home."
Vivian nodded, "The Staff too, I am guessing though Sam is the only one who can actually talk to them."
Sam nodded, "Yup!"
Mikaela drank her tea, "I am not sure I like the thought of these very sentient artifacts using you two like that. It gives Poltergiest!"
Sam sweat dropped, "The Allspark loves that movie."
Maggie gave a judgy stare, "I do not know if that is a praise, dear Allspark."
Sam snorted, "They took it as one."
Raph, "Of course they did."
Charlie, "I just have a question."
Miles, "What sort?"
Charlie, "The Allspark gives birth to Cybertronian kids, yes?"
Sam, "Yes, they also make rebirth for them possible, granted the price for rebirth are the memories and experience they had."
Miles, "They basically starts from zero. You would not know they were reborn."
Charlie, "Soooo, the Allspark is like the ultimate mom then?"
Sam, "Yup! Loves bragging about all of their kids like a proud mama too."
Charlie had a mischiveous smirk, "Does that make you the Dad?"
Raph choked, "Wha.... "
Glenn, "Holy... "
Miles, "That's uh... "
Mikaela, "If he is I have dibs on being the favourite Aunt!"
Maggie, "Hey!"
Vivian, "You know what? I never thought about it. Are you?"
Sam who had frozen was about to protest but then sighed, "I kind of am at this point I guess?"
Mikaela, "Kind of?"
Maggie, "Explain!"
Sam then launched into an explanation of the family units that existed on Cybertron which consisted of mainly a Sire, a Carrier and of course the sparklings. Sam explained that a Sire mainly acted like a father while a Carrier acted like a mom. The group was quiet then after some contemplation started to decide who was the Sire and who was the Carrier between Jazz and Prowl. Sam had laughed saying unlike humans the roles of Sire and Carrier were actually interchangeable between the partners. It all came down to what the sparkling needed at the end of the day and Cybertronians did not have gender and sex like humans did. That had them all nodding in agreement since the Cybertronians had made it clear that the Allspark was the main way to have sparklings. While it was possible to spark merge like Cyclonus and Tailgate did, it was the Allspark who called for living sparks to be born, Sam decided not to tell them that though.
Miles, "Fine!"
Sam, "Fine?"
Miles, "I will not throw a bitch fit about you gong to a completely uninhabitable planet but I expect you to stay in contact."
Sam, "Of course, that is a given. We are going to a different planet but that does not mean we cut contact with each other."
Vivian, "I would not leave my mom high and dry either."
Sam smiled, "Exactly! Also, we are making a few pit stops on the way to Cybertron. First is the moon obviously, mom and dad have been curious about going there."
Vivina sipped her tea, "After that we are heading to Mars to drop off a bunch of Cybertronians and humans so they can try and start building a colony there."
Raph nodded "It is another very big project between the countries and after what happened everyone is working twice as hard to bring more good news. Lennox wants me to join them so I think I will."
Mikaela scowled at the reminder of the mess that happened, "Well, the people who were charged are getting double the punishment, I hear. Also, congratulations on the promotion Raph, we are proud of you."
Miles grinned, "Yeah, congratulations Raph. As for what happened, I also heard they will serve for a couple of years for the first punishment before receiving the death sentence in the second one."
Sam, "Stay safe though, Raph. I am the trouble magnet here."
Charlie, "So, you know you are. But yeah, stay safe. We already have two trouble magnets here."
Vivian, "Who? Me?"
Maggie murmured, "They are punished, huh? It does not feel enough though, does it?"
Glenn squeezed her hand gently, "I know the feeling."
Mikaela scowled, "The punishment? No, it does not! Sam, you are attending our wedding first right?"
Sam, "Of course, I am. It may be the last marriage I am able to attend on Earth."
Vivian, "I am still your bridesmaid, do not worry."
Charlie nodded, "Good! As the maid of honour I would be obligated to kidnap you otherwise."
Vivian laughed and asked if Mikaela had picked a venue for the party yet and the brunette perked up. Mikaela proudly announced she got cleared to use one of the open venue next to the base in Chicago, that way Jazz and Cliffjumper could attend as well. The young woman had become very fond of Jazz and Cliffjumper the last few months and would love it if they attended her wedding. She was considering official invites to the rest of the Autobots she had come to know during her tenure under Ratchet but she was unsure if they could attend. Sam had laughed saying they would happily attend just to have an excuse to party and a wedding was a good enough excuse. Mikaela smiled looking relieved at that and nodded, she was definitely sending invites now. Then Raph asked if Sam was going to still visit the Decepticons to which Sam answered in affirmative and had everyone sighing or groaning. Sam laughed and told them not to worry, there is only one reason was going there and it was Knockout, Breakdown and their little sparkling who was about to be born.
Miles grumbled, "It is so weird to think about them as parents but here we are."
Sam, "They are not that bad once you start talking to them and they treat their human workers right so, I am not going to complain."
Glenn, "I bet that is mostly Soundwave."
Sam, "Yup! Soundwave is the backbone for the Decepticons, without him, half their missions would be a disaster."
Charlie, "Why do you sound so fond of him?"
Sam, "I just am and honestly it is hard to not become proud of him after knowing his past on Cybertron, you know?"
Raph, "Oh yeah! You told us his story once. Honestly, I kind of cannot blame him for joining the Decepticons either."
Mikaela, "Tell me about it."
Around two months after the lunch Sam had with his friends, he was back on the Nemesis which looked bigger than the last time. Bumblebee eyed the ship but refrained from making any type of comment about the ship and followed Sam. The Allspark host was being escorted by Vos of the DJD and Thundercracker who decided this was a good time to ask Sam questions about how the sparklings would be born. Sam explained he would be allowing Allspark permission to take over and deal with the sparkling birth and explaining it might be a bit hard in the human language. Instead Sam decided to give Thundercracker an invite to help with the birth, that way if any of the Seekers decide they want sparklings then he could help. The large Seeker was surprised by the invite though Bumblebee gave him a glare with a sharp warning to not frag things up. Thundercracker however was not listening to Bumblebee as he stared at the human who had entered the medical area.
Vos, "Enter?"
Thundercracker shook himself, "Yes, of course. I do not see why not."
Sam greeted the red Mech, "Knockout, how are we doing?"
Knockout smiled then winced, "I could be better and I will not lie, my respect for human femme just went up. I do not know how they do it."
Sam, "Pain receptors?"
Breakdown, "At the lowest setting so, Knockout does not feel too much pain."
Sam nodded, "Alright, I am going to llet the Allspark take over. Are you ready?"
Knockout, "Ready as I ever will be. Let's do it."
Megatron was watching from the bridge, "Record everything."
Soundwave, "Understood!"
Shockkwave, "I would still like to study the human host."
Megatron, "Not with the Knight around. I would rather not lose my best scientist."
Shockwave, "Of course, Lord Megatron... May I still observe from a distance?"
Megatron, "Very well, do not get caught though. I cannot defend you if that happens."
Shockwave, "Understood, commencing observation."
The Allspark had now taken over and was working on coaxing the new spark out from Knockout's spark chasis. The Allspark had already warned them it would take hours to do so as the new sparklng was being born from another spark. It was not impossible, just took a little bit longer than the normal methos. Knockout was holding Breakdown's servos and the ex - wrecker despite the cracks being heard did not wince nor complain. Instead the large Decepticon was encouraging his Conjunx and helpin the Allspark coax the new spark out to join their family unit. An hour into it the Allspark released their own power slightly in the form of white ribbons that Shockwave was sure was white energon. It was healing Knockout while also stabilizing the new spark which was now pulsing brighter than before. The Allspark took another hour to stabiliz the new spark to the environment outside the chasis and explained the process to Knockout. Then the Allspark placed the new spark inside the proto form that had been built for it. The new spark glowed and started to transform the proto form to fit it's favoured shape which took another two hours before the sparkling woke up.
Knockout, "Well?"
Allspark, "It is done. I shall return to rest now."
Knockout, "Oh!"
Sam, "Phew! That took a while... Hello baby, welcome to the new world."
Bumblebee relaxed, "It is done."
Thundercracker, "I did not even do anything."
Bumblebee, "First step is observation. It is always observation. The Allspark chose you that is why Sam invited you."
Thundercracker, "Ah! Understood!"
Knockout, "I want to look at my sparkling."
Sam, "Of course, you can. Breakdown, please help me carry Redge here to Knockout."
Breakdown got up and picked up the sparkling who was now grumpy, "Redge?"
Sam giggled, "That is what the Allspark decided to name the little guy."
Knockout received the young sparkling in his arms, "That was the name of our youngest. Hello, little one, welcome back."
Breakdown sat next to them, "They are back with us, Knockout. Even if they do not remember us and is grumpy now."
Knockout, "It is alright. It is alright. This is a new beginning."
Sam, "I will give you privacy. Bee, the gifts?"
Bumblebee nodded at that, "Congratulations on having a new sparkling join you, Knockout and Breakdown. As per the rules, we have brought three cartons of sparkling grade energon and five toys for the little one."
Knockout froze, "You did? Why?"
Bumblebee, "I may be a Knight but before I was a Knight I was a spark sensitive."
Breakdown, "I had forgotten about that."
Knockout, "Huh! Me too! It has been a long time since that topic came up."
Bumblebee, "I do not exactly go around advertizing it. I might strt to do so now that I am a Knight just to protect Sam from the overzealous nobles."
Knockout, "Oh yes, them. They still think they run the universe if what happened with Sentinel is to go by."
Sam, "Oh! Don't rremind me. He was an AH through and through. The Allspark was very disappointed when he refused to change and actually gave up on him."
Breakdown, "The Allspark gave up on Sentinel?"
Sam, "Yes, they did. Surprising, isn't it?"
Knockout, "Very much, considering how fond the Allspark is of Megatron and the DJD as you have told us."
Sam snorted, "I mean, they did not go around throwing away sparklings just because they were not hundred percent perfection, did they?"
Thundercracker froze, "I was not informed of that before."
Breakdown clenched his servos, "You told us that before but it still fills me with fury."
Sam, "It is something that the Allspark ranted about when they were disappointed and not something we like thinking about though I add it to care of sparkling datapad as a warning."
Thundercracker, "I should have joined that fight."
Sam, "No! He would have killed you or worse called you a traitor."
Thundercracker, "I do not care what he says."
Sam, "Perhaps, but the rest of the Universe does and it would have made things difficult so, do not say such foolish things now. The Allspark is dealing with him anyway."
Thundercracker crossed his arms, "Hmph!"
Sam, "Point is! It is already a thing of the past now."
Bumblebee, "Stop worrying about it. Just be aware!"
Thundercracker, "Fine!"
Knockout stared at him amused, "Would you like to hold him, Thundercracker?"
Thundercracker startled, "May I?"
Knockout, "Come here!"
The Seeker stepped forward and Knockout showed him how to hold the sparkling. The large Mech was awkward at first but after a few minutes got it and the next thing they heard was a soft crooning coming from Thundercracker. Sam just smiled realizing that was the Seeker program, the Allspark had once told him about coming to life. Knockout stared at the Seeker and decided he would be the next in line of Guardianship should anything happen to either him or Breakdown. Breakdown nodded in agreement getting a surprised sound from the Seeker who had not stopped crooning. Sam congratulated Thundercracker on being chosen as a protector and laughed gently when Thundercracker choked unable to speak. Bumblebee could not help but chuckle as well as he patted the Seeker and congratulated him on becoming a fellow Guardian. Thundercracker spluttered then calmed down when the sparkling cooed at him and then agreed to becoming a Guardian. Sam could not help but smile fondly at the Seeker, he recalled reading the G. I. Joe, Thundercracker issue. This large Seeker was and still is one of his favourite ones.
Bumblebee, "Alright! We will be sticking around for a week to make sure the sparkling has no problems or whatsoever. Standard stuff!"
Knockout, "We don't mind. We appreciate this."
Sam cooed at the sparkling, "Little Redge, you are going to be one magnificent Cybertronian, aren't you?"
Knockout, "You know something?"
Sam grinned at them, "The Allspark has been very giddy so I have a feeling about this little one's future. Just makde sure he lives long enough to achieve his goals."
Thundercracker, "We will! You do not have to worry about that."
Megatron who had been watching them, "Starscream, place Thundercracker on Guardian duty."
Starscream, "Of course, my Prime. I understand."
Megatron, "Make sure there is a Seeker who is capable of handling Thundercracker's responsibilities while he protects the sparkling and the Sire and Carrier."
Starscream, "All three of them?"
Megatron, "Look at him! He is determined and with the Allspark acknowledging him. Do you believe he can ignore their safety to focus on other work?"
Starscream, "Ah! Right! It will be handled, my Prime. Although I have a feeling Thundercracker will not be the only one having their Seeker codes activated."
Sam and Bumblebee stayed wth the Decepticons for a week and Sam had a first seat audience to the Seekers walkng in to see the sparkling and having their codes be activated. It was very hilarious and adorable at the same time to watch all these big bad Seekers go soft for a tiny little sparkling. Even Tarn from the DJD came, stayed for a few minutes and then left after ensuring the place was safe for the little one. Vos was always positioned outside the door taking his new mission of keeping an innocent sparkling safe very seriously. The couple did not mind and appreciated the offer to keep little Redge safe. Third day after Redge being born, Knockout was already back working as a medic taking charge of Redge's health and laying strict laws about approaching the sparkling. It was pretty similar to the human practices but the reasons were a bit different for them. Sam got worried he would overwork himself but the ex - wrecker assured him that he would make sure Knockout gets rest. At the end of the week Sam and Bumblebee left after exchanging private contacts with the couple.
Bumblebee, "You got attached to them."
Sam, "So did you."
Bumblebee, "They have a sparkling."
Sam, "Yes, think we could have a play date for the sparklings in the future?"
Bumblebee, "We will see."
A month after he returned, Sam was attending his best friend's wedding. Mr Banes was walking his daughter dressed in a silver Cinderella styled dress down the walk way. Miles could not tear his eyes away from the bride and Sam grinned when he saw how happy they were. During the toast Sam spoke about how he knew Miles since they were both kids and how they basically grew up as brothers from another mother. He also spoke about being classmates with Mikaela and shared some stories from school days when they had gone on outings as classmates together and about when they became friends as teens. It was over their beautiful cars or rather as everyone knew them, Bumblebee, Jazz and Cliffjumper. The three Mechs in question raised their Energon cubes in salute and Sam ended the speech to hand the mike over to Charlie who had become best friends with Mikaela. Charlie spoke about how close they had become as adults and how Mikaela and Miles started dating. It funnily enough started with Miles ranting about Sam to Mikaela and then their relationship took off from there.
Sam shrugged and shouted, 'You are welcome.', to the crowd getting laughs from everyone and head shakes from the adults. Then Charlie moved on to how they became close to each other and started dating and the proposal Miles had prepared for Mikaela. The pictures were absolutely stunning in Sam's opinion and he cheered as the toast were done and the father daughter and mother son dance commenced. Bumblebee teasingly asked Sam to dance making him laugh as they had fun during the after party. Even Quickshot and Chatter who were roped into being ring bearers were having fun playing around with other kids belonging to the families of NEST members. All in all it was a fun party and Sam was honestly glad to see his friends get married before he left. He was unsure if Raph will be interested in marriage but he was in no place or position to worry about that. Speaking of the red head, he approached Sam with a glass and a smile.
Raph, "I am glad we are able to attend this marriage."
Sam, "Yeah! Me too!"
Raph, "Did everything go well with the Decepticons?"
Sam, "Yup! Little Redge is absolutely adorable. And I think Optimus is relieved I am keeping a calm and positive relation with the Decepticons."
Raph, "I am not surprised. I mean at the end of the day Megatron is his brother. Do you think he will ask you about Megatron?"
Sam, "I do not know. He has not yet maybe in the future or he might want to tackle this himself one last time and then let go completely. Like a final chance, and then it is up to Megatron what happens to heir relationship."
Raph, "Optimus does look exhausted lately."
Sam, "He has been working hard keeping the relations between humans and Cybertronians stable while also planning for Cybertron's re - habitation. Is it surprising he is exhausted? In fact, I think he is ready to crown Elita Prime as Cybertron's Head Prime and then retire."
Raph laughed, "He was very fascinated by the retirement stories the soldiers and our parents told him before."
Sam, "Indeed! Plus, after how long he has been working, can anyone blame him?"
Raph, "Hmm, not really. They look happy."
Sam smiled turning to where Miles and Mikaela were grinning as they danced, "Yes they are happy and let's keep it that way."
Raph clinked his glass with Sam's, "I will drink to that. Is that Cliffjumper and Arcee?"
Sam's eyes lit up, "About time!"
Raph, "Hell yes! Good for them!"
Dragonius, "How are the engines?"
Linklock, "Working at hundred percent, they are purring like a kitten."
Adaptus, "Energon levels steady."
Nebulane, "Sparklings and humans are secured."
Stormreign, "Ship is ready to launch, just give us the signal Prime."
Dragonius, "Convoy, launch for the next adventure."
Bumblebee who was sat next to Hot Rod held Sam, Quickshot and Chatter close to himself a the ship shook from the turbulance from leaving the Earth gravity. The Knights had decided to give the cousins their own personal area and were joined by their Guardians and friends who wanted to go with them. Sam remembered the last few months till launch day arrived on them. The large ship was in good shape despite being under salty water for centuries. Sam recalls the reactions when he and Vivian had announced they were heading to Cybertron. Sam and Vivian's parents looked resigned but demanded they spend time together till the time came for them to leave and said something about chicks leaving the nest. The cousins decided not to tackle that and looked at their friends. Vivian had gotten really close to Charlie, Glenn and Maggie and the three looked torn between wanting to hug her and strangling her. Miles, Raph and Mikaela looked close to doing that to him too so, he did not comment on it. Raph joined them so hopefully, Miles and the rest will calm down.
Sam let out a relieved sigh as the turbulence ended, "I think we can move now."
Raph, "I think so too."
Bumblebee, "Yes, but be careful. Especially you, little sparks."
Chatter, "We will be fine."
Quickshot, "Yeah!"
Bumblebee, "Hot Rod, Vivian, you good?"
Vivian, "Yup! The staff has been vibrating a lot too for some reason. I wish the Knights had just taken it back. I do not know what it means and feel like iit is judjing me... Sam, is it judging me?"
Sam, "Well... Not exactly... But it did when you got drunk and danced the polka with Charlie at Miles' wedding last month."
Raph, "It was fun though."
Vivian, "It was a party. Where else am I supposed to let go and have fun? And I did not do it alone, there were others too."
Sam laughed, "They, my cousin dearest did not have a sentient staff."
Vivian, "Oh! Come on!"
Raph patted her back, "Look on the bright side. Once Cybertron is fixed you might find some idiot who you can trick into taking over as the Staff's favoured one."
Vivian mumbled, "I hope so."
Sam and Raph laughed as Bumblebee chuckled at the pouting face while Hot Rod placated her though there was a teasing tone to his voice. Sam turned to the window and saw Earth becoming smaller as they headed towards the moon. This was not the first time Sam and Raph came to the Moon but it was a first for Vivian who looked very excited. Sam left to check on his parents with Bumblebee following and the couple were enjoying the drinks and wine that was being served by Cogman. The Cybertronian had agreed to accompany the couple to the Moon and then return to the castle with the return group. Sam was kind of glad that Cogman had accompanied them because the Convoy would only stop at the Moon base for two hours and then once the equipment had been delivered move on. Bumblebee called him back to his seat saying they would land soon and to buckle up for the landing.
Simmons, "Welcome to the Moon base!"
Ron, "Mr Simmons, looking good old chap."
Simmons rolled his eyes, "You mean old. Yes, I suppose I look good for an old guy."
Sam, "You look like you are doing well."
Simmons, "And you crazy mother fucker are actually off to Cybertron. Seriously kid, you never do anything by half, huh?"
Lennox, "Sam, a word."
Sam, "Sure! What's up?"
Lennox, "I got you something that the world government decided you should have."
Sam eyed the box Lennox held out with curiosity, "What does that mean exactly?"
Lennox, "I know you do not like being a representative for some reason I will not ask."
Sam, "Obviously!"
Lennox, "But, Earth would still like to give this to you."
Sam, "What does it do?"
Lennox, "It is a signed letter and badge showing you are the Ambassador of Earth while you are on Cybertron."
Sam, "Vivian would be a better representative."
Lennox, "Vivian does not have the same standing you do among the Autibots and the Decepticons. Did you know Decepticon based problems went down after you started visiting them?"
Sam, "Oh! I forgot about that."
Lennox, "Yeah, everyone up top figured out you had a better chance of surviving as an Ambassador out there than anyone else. Also these three soldiers are going to be your human guards while there. I trained them myself, Chad, Alexis and Mo."
Sam, "Hello, that is very kind of you. Are you sure though? This may take years."
Alexis, "Completely! We know this may take forever but we are ready to do it."
Chad, "Just call me Kicker. Do not worry Mr Witwicky, we are ready to do this."
Mo, "You can count on us."
Sam, "Alright then! Bee, come meet your partners."
Bumblebee, "What?"
Sam, "They will be guarding me with you on Cybertron."
Raph, "Seriously? You guys will? That is a relief."
Bumblebee nodded, "Alright! We will talk forms and what to look out for during the journey."
Three together, "Understood Sir!"
