"W-What?" Kuroka stuttered as she stepped back with faint blush across her cheeks. She looks at his face, trying to read any micro change to his facial to decide if he was joking with her, but no such a thing was apparent at first glance. Instead, she were greeted with a genuine smile on his face, forcing her to looks away from embarrassment. 'Why is he acting like this? Is the world ending, or am I dreaming?' She couldn't comprehend the sudden change in attitude, her common sense is telling her there must be something going on. Yet her heart were acting even more strange—there's just no way something like that is happening to her, Kuroka refused to believe it!
"You heard me right, I was thinking about you." He repeated his words, as if making it clear to her that he wasn't joking this time. "To be more precise, I was entertaining the idea whether to accept you into my harem or not. It's rather surprising, isn't it? I didn't expect my heart to be as spacious as this balcony. But then again, you just wanted my seed, didn't you? I'm not sure I could agree to something like that. Each of my girls have a different reason for falling, however, I know for certain that they loves everything about me, as much as I do to them."
Kuroka didn't know how to respond to him being rather upfront about her initial desire. Yes, initially she truly just wanted his seed for the promising children that she would give birth to. They would no doubt growing up to be strong individuals. That desire is something deeply rooted in her species as Nekomata. Her race worship the strong after all. Rather than dreaming of Prince Charming like a normal girl, she would instead dream of meeting a strong guy that can be her potential mate. It is as simple as that.
But that desire were slowly being overwhelmed by her rising feeling toward him. She was certain now that it was love, that must be why it pains her seeing him interacting with his girlfriends. Kuroka didn't have much experience in relationship, her last one didn't go so well, one might even think she was cursed. When she was invited to Hero Faction, and suffered a defeat under Cao Cao, she thought that maybe he or Vali could be it. But her seductive tactics doesn't work on them both at all. On one hand, Vali had a thing with strong people as well, but that White Dragon Emperor would rather die in a battle than getting into relationship with a girl. He's that much of battle maniac.
Cao Cao was even worse. He seems to have a hard-on in being the underdog. Ever since he was young, he was bullied up until he awakened his Sacred Gear, the True Longinus. From then on, his life changed. He was drunk with its power, but even more so when people underestimated him. Then, when he learned that the human race were like the underdog in the supernatural world, his excitement was through the roof. The goal of the Hero Faction was all to fulfill his sick desire in playing as a hero to defeat big bad guy. Unfortunately, he had a certain charm that attracted people to him like moth to a flame.
Neither of them were a good candidate, heck, they don't even consider her someone who's worthy standing by their side. She was just one amongst many members in the faction, someone who aligned with their goal. Kuroka didn't expect that seeking a potential mate to be so difficult.
"That was... definitely my original goal, but... I," Her words came to a pause. Kuroka's expression looks rather nervous, as if she's debating whether to reveal her honest feeling to him, or keep it to herself. She was frankly scared that he might refuse her on the spot despite the fitting atmosphere. Normally, she could just laugh it off like a lame joke, but that was because her feeling weren't involved. This time is different. 'He said it himself, his reason for refusal is my apparent yearning for strong seed is rather weak in his opinion. Or unworthy of his love. It make sense, what if there's someone stronger than him appearing in front of me? If it was the old me, I understand why. Then, he wouldn't refuse if I admit my feeling to him? Is that why he was saying nonsensical stuff early on?'
"You what?" He asked with a knowing smile on his face. He leans forward, resting his chin on his palm with his elbow on the table. He had made it clear to her now with his reaction, he knew about her feeling. "Go on then."
At this point, Kuroka would be a coward if she keeps quiet. He's urging her to say it, isn't that basically implying that he would accept her? She truly hope that was the case, and not the delusion eroding her mind. She place her hand near her chest and immediately feels it, her heart beating irregularly like she's heading into a battle. But that would likely be better since she's pretty confident she could escape if things gets dicey. This time however, escaping is impossible.
"I like—no, I love you! There, I say it!" Kuroka said with flushed cheeks after taking a deep breath. Her shoulders visibly relaxed almost immediately, as if the burden of bottling her feelings no longer matters. "I didn't just wanted your seed, but your everything!"
"Greedy, aren't you? Well, I'm the Greed incarnate so I can't really say much." He said with a shrugs, but the smile on his face seems different this time. "You know, if you weren't so persistent, then maybe I could easily refuse you. But heart can be whimsical sometimes, and it rarely listens to our voice, isn't it?"
"I even considered throwing you to Issei like I did with Rossweisse, he wanted a harem after all. However..." Seeing his hand gesturing her to comes closer, her feet moved before she could think. Once Kuroka was close enough, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her toward him. 'Ah! Hold on—!!!'
