There was a man seemingly in his mid 30s enjoying a lunch with his wife, and his mistresses on the long dining table until someone intrudes upon such harmonious moment. A frown surfaced on the Astaroth Family Head's slight wrinkles face as he glares at the intruder with a warning, but the latter simply ignored his gaze, or maybe there was something more serious occupying his mind that the young devil had forgotten about the rules and etiquette in the house.
"My Lord! We're under attacked!" He shouted unhesitantly, his tone filled with slight hint of fear. Not toward his Master, but something else. Lady Astaroth also visibly frowned from the interruption, though the Mistresses shared the same thoughts, they didn't show it on their faces at all.
Smack!
"Who dares!" Lord Astaroth angrily said after slamming his hand heavily on the table. He was already annoyed at the intrusion, and now he was hearing that someone actually had the guts to attack Astaroth? They must be seeking death! But he was also caution, what if they came prepared? How many are there to begin with? However, the answer he received surpassed his imagination.
"It was... a single human but! He was too strong!"
"...A single human? You fools! You all can't handle a single human and you dare to report back such humiliation to your Master? What do we even pay you for?!" Lady Astaroth cursed under her breath. Even Lord Astaroth who thought the situation was grim suddenly regained his confidence and showed absolute contempt towards the guard whom his clan had invested heavily, yet have no skills to back it up.
"No! This is not a normal human, he is—" He was about to explain further before a loud thump attracted everyone attention, they all turned their heads behind the guard, towards the tall and sturdy door at the end of the hallway. As if sensing the gazes of everyone in the dining room, a head peek from the corner. The guard paled when he saw it.
"T-That is Captain..."
It was the Guard Captain, but something about his eyes seems wrong as if there were no more life within it. Then, the head fell forward and rolls toward him. The mistresses shrieks upon seeing this, they had never seen something this gruesome before. It was straight out of horror movies. Despite his body was cold from fear, the guard tremblingly raised his sword and said.
"Please escape immediately while I buy some time! If the Captain is already dead, then I might be the last remaining guard alive!"
At this point, Lord and Lady Astaroth understands the guard weren't speaking nonsense. They had seen the Guard Captain's skill firsthand, it was the very reason they hired him and his team after all. He was a retired professional killer that wanted nothing, but to be reincarnate as devil in order to prolonged his lifespans. He later realized the mortality of human when he almost failed his mission at the age of 28, his skill had deteriorated much quicker than he expected.
But that same man who had regained his youth and even sharpen his skill further, now lay dead on the floor as a head. No one in the room wanted to know what happens to his actual body, the most important question echoing in their minds at the moment was whether they could escape this hell successfully. Whoever was behind this sudden attack, they had no desire in meeting them, much less thinking about punishing.
"You all stay behind with him!" Lord Astaroth emotionlessly commanded for his mistresses to remained. They all looks at him stunned and eyes widened in horror as their bodies simultaneously freeze in place. No matter how much they wanted to run, their body wouldn't listen. At this moment, they realized what the choker around their neck was for, increasing pleasure during sex was only a front that they foolishly believed.
"Well now, that wouldn't be good, wouldn't you say so?"
Just as the hidden door had revealed itself in front of the Lord and Lady Astaroth, their eyes widened in shock. No one should've known about the secret tunnel build within the huge mansion, except the Astaroth themselves, yet a human appeared behind the only escape route with a smile that didn't quite reach his ears. But what was more shocking was the maid following behind him, they immediately recognized her.
"You! So Satan Lucifer was behind this?!" Lady Astaroth shriek like a banshee, her finger pointed accusingly at the expressionless Grayfia. "I swear to our Ancestors! If we survive this, we wouldn't hesitate to start a war with Gremory!"
"..."
However the silver-haired maid remained quiet. It wasn't that she didn't want to respond, but she was only there as observer.
Then, the guard who suddenly regained his courage charged towards the perpetrator, but his sword came to a halt before he was propelled towards the wall, the impact knocked him out instantly.
Kousuke merely glance at the unconscious guard for a few seconds before turning to looks at the two high ranking devils in front of him, who also glares back at him. Finding an escape route wasn't anything difficult for someone who can see through lies and illusions, the latter had immediately scanned the whole estate before he even placed the barrier surrounding the entire area. However...
"From the beginning, I never plan to have any of you escape, but it seems your child is quite lucky," he muttered. He had realized early on that Diodora was nowhere to be seen. Grayfia shouldn't have lied to him, she had no reason to after all. That can only means that deodorant had left the moment he arrived coincidentally. 'It seems fate wanted him to survive for a little longer, so be it.'
"...My son managed to escape? Hah...hahaha, looks like the Astaroth clan live another day," Lord Astaroth mumbles with glint in his eyes. He clenched his fist tightly as his erratic heart lulled to calmness. Now he no longers fear of dying, and if he had a choice, he wanted to go out with dignity!
"Cough! D...Dear husband?"
Lady Astaroth looks down at the familiar arm piercing through her chest with dilated eyes. Right after, she immediately accepted her incoming death with clarity. She knew this day would come the moment she signed her soul to the Astaroth Clan. She was once the eldest daughter of a clan on the verge of collapsing, and she was smart enough to understand the only way to brings her clan to its former glory was to shackles herself to the more prosperous clan.
To Kousuke's astonishing eyes, Lady Astaroth quickly turned into dried skin as her body fell flat to the floor. Lord Astaroth on the other hand seems to have powered up, his aura seems much more threatening than before. His pupils glows in bright ominous red, Kousuke could feels madness dwelling deep in those bloody orbs.
Then he disappeared and blood splattered on the floor. Grayfia also widened her eyes in disbelief.
