"How were you able to make this game so quickly?" Akeno asked while munching on a stall bread. It doesn't tasted much, or anything at all for that matter, but it's the action that is crucial. Eating in virtual world gives some health, less than drinking potion but it did the job nonetheless if one can't afford to get it.
Though it wasn't that she needs healing, Akeno was only doing it out of curiosity. She noticed her virtual character seems to have gained slight fat around her belly, which amazed her for the attention to details. She thought it would take someone a long time to prepared a game at this level, not including the capsule, that one is just a miracle, at least in her opinion.
"Remember when I tell you about my Otherworld adventure?" Kousuke said softly. But then, his face turned serious as he started reeling in his fishing rod and a huge fish hooked to the line leaps out of the lake with a big splash. Before it could swallow him whole just as its shadow casted on him, the corner of his lips curled up and he took something out of his sleeves and point it at the giant fish, then...
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three shots rang out and the poor fish now filled with a few holes on its body fell with a heavy thud on the ground. Kousuke looks at the pistol in his hand emitting smoke from the barrel and chuckles. "How did the meme goes again? The more complex a power system can get, the funnier it is when someone pulled out a gun? It does feels refreshing, I guess I can call this fish blasting, hehe."
"You and your lame jokes," Akeno sighed at his attempted of humor before shaking her head. "So you're saying you copied Otherworld and turned it to a virtual world?"
"Sort of, it became the foundation that makes it easier for me to add the rest, like expanding it from there, revamp the map a little, that minor revisions eventually stack up until this virtual world became what it is now, unrecognizable even to Morgan's eyes." He explained, his hands make a quick work of the giant fish until all that was left was just the bones, which he threw them back into the lake. Ever since the Beta test were over a few days ago, Kousuke could enjoy fishing without being disturbed by the ever curious players.
"Then what's up with that pistol? I don't remember seeing firearm as part of weapon player can pick."
"Because there's no firearms just yet. I created this pistol way back in Otherworld when I was confident enough to handle exploding dust, and yes, the gunpowder was called that over there." He muttered with an air of melancholy surrounded him. His hand gently caressing the cold metal of the barrel while reminiscent of the past. "Of course, normally enchanted bullets couldn't do much against the Demon God, but it was fun and the quickest way to exterminates the mobs."
"So you're cheating at your own game?" Akeno said amusedly.
"Hey I'm the Game Master, I can do whatever I want~" He replied proudly, but the smile on his face froze when a maid suddenly appeared before him. Akeno was surprised but then she recalled something he had told her beforehand. 'So this is the Goddess of this virtual world... but still, a maid?' Akeno thought internally.
"Master... haven't I told you to not recklessly reveal something that shouldn't exists in this world just yet?" The silver-haired maid muttered with a smile that doesn't quite reach her ears. For a brief moment, Akeno thought she was seeing Sirzechs in him and the maid as Grayfia. It was a surreal feeling, that was until Belfast, the royal maid and the Goddess of this world, let out a sigh.
"Thankfully I was diligent enough to keep an eye around you, so no harm was done."
"That's my maid! I knew my decision in leaving the matters of this world to you was the best decision I've ever made!" Kousuke praised her unabashedly. She was, after all, the greatest gift to ever came out of the Trinity Project. As his knowledge about souls deepened, he immediately went forth with one of his childish dreams—bringing his favourite fictional character to reality. That's right, he had essentially fulfilled every otaku's dream.
"Yes, I was made for this, so obviously I would be good at it," Belfast murmured, her face settling into a weary, lopsided, one-eyed look of surrender. As his sole AI, she inherited some part of his memories to fill in the rest that he couldn't provided. She knew of her origin as fictional character, that was the first thing he told her upon regaining her awareness. However, she didn't show much reaction to it since such knowledge was already engraved in her brain. Even though she knew how to act like Belfast, she wasn't knowledgeable about the whole becoming the Goddess of this virtual world thing.
Nonetheless, it wasn't difficult for her to gain the experience she needed the most. Kousuke would simply created another identical settings before moving her to that Imaginary Space with granted powers, then fast forward time a little bit and voilà, she became the perfect depiction of a Goddess. So despite looking in her mid 20s, the virtual AI in front of him was actually in hundred of years old. At this point, Belfast might actually knows more about his Sacred Gear than himself.
"Akeno, a half-devil with sadistic tendency, she's one of my girlfriends. And this is Belfast, my greatest creation and beloved maid, in short, she's the AI I created to manage this virtual world in my place," noticing Akeno staring at the maid, Kousuke introduced them to one another. He had already explained to them beforehand, however this was the first time they meet each other.
"Beloved maid huh? So you basically created your fictional waifu? I'm sure Issei will be in for the shock of his life~" Akeno said with a teasing smile. She knew how much of an otaku he was, Kousuke often shared anime memes with Rias in their group chat after all.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet one of my Master's harem," Belfast said before gracefully bowing her head as if such action have been engraved completely into her body. "He speaks fondly of you, and he often mentioned, and I quoted, 'Devil really knows how to use their sinful body', unquoted."
"Hey! that was supposed to be kept secret," Kousuke interjected. However, he doesn't really seems embarrassed at all that she was exposing something she shouldn't. Suddenly, he feels something soft pressed against his back, it was Akeno's ample chest. She leaned closer to his neck as her heated breaths breeze past his ears.
"I suppose you were that happy with the rewards huh? Then I guess I should let Yasaka know of this good news~" She whispered, her hands brushed against his finely compacted muscles around his upper chest. It was as if Belfast's words activated some kind of dormant switch in her, or maybe she was displaying their close relationship towards the AI, as if to refrain the latter from having any unfavourable thoughts. However Belfast remained passive, she neither react nor showed any challenge. 'Hoh? looks like she's a tough one', Akeno thought with narrowed eyes.
